Quoting: NOLAangel Stay safe all. I'm a little north of you and we're suppose to get ice. Because of that all the French toast(bread, milk, eggs) people are rushing the grocery store. It won't last very long whatever happens |

Forum Administrator 02/10/2021 11:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hunt County Texas here. We are getting freezing rain the next few days and highs in the low 30's. By Monday our low will be about 5 and expecting up to half a foot of snow. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76578598 Brazos County. Temps down to 15 on Monday, and a total accumulation of 6 inches - I would imagine it will be the wet, slushy version of snow. We usually only get a couple light frosts in the winter. User ID: 80034229 United States 02/10/2021 11:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Who out there in glp land is getting hammered by this lastest winter storm doom? Quoting: Roadkill Bill I'm in KY, right on the impact zone of what the forecasters and media are calling an emergency situation. We are expected up to 1" of ice thru tomorrow afternoon. Ppl around here have been in a state of near panic for the last 2 days in preparation for this "event" that was scheduled to kick in significantly last night. Well.....this morning we have nothing outside but a bit of sprinkles thru the early morning hours with temps above freezing (so far). The radar is showing a clearing but yet travel restrictions are planned for this afternoon and the alerts are still going out. We have been told that power outage are expected, and will last for several days. On top of that, the temps are supposed to drop down to near 0 by Sunday. It's scaring the old people and causing panic buying everywhere! So, my question is.... Who is getting hit by this "monster" winter storm because it's not us (so far)? Idaho...got 6 inches yesterday, got warning for 1-2 ft or more over the next 3 days with ice at night. Power company already sent out warnings for outages. Violetmd |

If you think this just started today well, you're way behind....yes I'm grouchy, I hate ice, I hate being stuck. It hasn't done this in Feb since we moved in here and a 5 inch sheet of ice slid off the roof and destroyed the stairs (ice guards cured that, haven't needed them until now) You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or you will lose yourself every time |

User ID: 79526427 United States 02/10/2021 11:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Idaho here...9 degrees snow on the ground...cold and more snow coming Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79784143 I'm in the far northern county of Idaho, right up next to the Canada border. The temperature now is up to 10°F at 8:48am, but we have no snow on the ground. Supposed to get down to -12° on Thursday night. The past few weeks it's been in the high 30's, and even rained several times in January and the first week of February. This is the first really cold weather we've had all winter, and March is right around the corner so winter is almost over. I love the spring up here, it feels like a gift. |

I can't imagine anyone choosing to go there. Brutal cold and wind in the winter, humid and non-stop bugs in the summer, and the worst ragweed in the entire world all fall. The springtime is beautiful but only lasts for three days. And I'm not even exaggerating. |

Got off the plane and it was -40! You can feel your face start to freeze! Hub's brother in law brought huge parkas to the airport for us when he picked us up. I live in north Idaho now and find it to be very mild compared to my former years in Iowa. You guys up there in mid Canada are tough! |

Weather map says there will be snow from Richmond north to Cincinnati starting tomorrow morning. There is already snow on the ground. It's only about an inch but temperatures are hovering around 28 to 32 which can turn icy in a hurry. The precipitation travels south through the day as temperatures lower, so make sure you have survival gear in your car and keep cell phones charged.
