Gold is literally the most overpriced "precious" metal in our world. Platinum/Silver have far more practical/varying usages than Gold.

Only reason Gold is worth anything is because of the image of "successful" materialism we see on the day to day for jewelry via celebrities. Same shit as diamonds. Most diamonds are worthless in usage yet sky rocket in price because of the perceived value via jewelry in our society.

It makes no sense how bitcoin, which is really nothing, can be worth around $50,000 and now corporations are buying in.

Crypto can and does function as currencies but a crypto "coin" or crypto "note" is not fiat unless a gov's Central Bank issues / mints a Cryptocurrency on behalf of a nation, then that "coin" / "crypto note" may be both a Cryptocurrency and a fiat thus making it legal tender.

So the Act of a Central Bank issuing / minting a Cryptocurrency makes fiat, be it nickles and dimes, notes / bills, and now a digital dollar otherwise known as a cryptonote / coin / currency etc.

false. in a total collapse scenario gold and silver would be valued in ounces, dollars mean nothing to something with intrinsic value, and both gold and silver have real world intrinsic value. bitcoin has none.
