Spot price is at $27 right now: [ link to www.kitco.com (secure)] I can't imagine anyone paying $500 an ounce, but who knows what people in a panic do. remember this time last year when a guy bought like 10 grand worth of hand sanitizer at all the local stores and was going to scalp for it online? lol. that's what people do. then the gov raided him for "hoarding" or whatever.
