Suggestions from my GLP fami We're looking for a place that's not too touristy; minimal homeless; not affluent, but not downtrodden either. These are just some of the criteria to get started with. Quoting: UseLessRepEATER just stay off the east coast, too many new york hook noses and yankees. west coast of florida is chill and people are better quality. except jacksonville, its technically still part of the south and its pretty cool there |

Suggestions from my GLP fami florida is a shithole because of the people. if you're gonna live there go for the west coast. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75411046 Where on W coast? i've lived all over florida...fort lauderdale is too close to miami...jacksonville is a pit...tampa is blah... i suggest either punta gorda, naples or sarasota/bradenton.. i liked living in punta gorda...lease offensive... Soneone said in the thread that Punta Gorda had lots of old folks? Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies..... Suggestions from my GLP fami I live in Brevard County. I’d go with North Melbourne, Suntree, or Viera .. or Merritt Island south of cocoa, or beachside if that is your thing Quoting: voodoo242 Thanks, I'll check there. Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies..... Suggestions from my GLP fami You might look at somewhere in the eastern half of Tennessee, far enough away from Knoxville,Nashville, and even Chattanooga to avoid the growing crime. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78139144 Is TN lax in terms of Covid enforcement? I'm not sure, but away from the big cities it is more likely. Peeps gave you some choices in FLA in this thread, but you gotta stay away from the bigger cities. Crime is escalating by the day in the Tampa Bay Area - just multiple horrid stories every damn day. I know cops from Hillsborough,Pinellas, and Pasco Counties, and every time I talk to them they give a worse report than the previous ones. Check out TN,especially the TVA that operate lotsa dams and power plants, and I'm sure they have alotta firefighters. I'm pretty sure that TVA employees are probably heavily restricted, though,at least on site. If you have specialized HAZMAT training, then ORNL in Oak Ridge might be a good place for you. Maybe they will even provide such paid training. My dad still has some connections there,so if you see something that interests you, then let me know. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] |
