Suggestions from my GLP fami Orlando probably too touristy; Miami, spendy and too many blue hairs; St. Pete, don't know anything about? Fuck St. Petersburg. They should've burned the whole city during the riots after Jimmy Knight shot that guy in the 90s. Jimmy's a good dude though. We'll meet in Valhalla or Fréja's garden. Until then, live free and find your happiness. |

St Pete isn't a good option for you if you're looking for minimal homeless. Pinellas County has the highest population density in the state as well as the largest homeless population. Lived there for way too many years. You're better off in the counties north or south of Pinellas by far. Pasco or Sarasota respectively. |

Suggestions from my GLP fami Generally speaking, anywhere outside of the metropolitan areas of jacksonville, tallahassee, the tampa bay area, orlando and miami is rural and much better areas to live. Generally though if i was to suggest somewhere, i'd say anything north of the tampa area up until jacksonville/tallahasee is very good areas to live, and if you pick the right areas, your not too far from a large town either, though even most small towns here have a good size store nearby (i live in a town of less than 10k people, and it has almost everything here from clinics to grocers and big box stores within a 10-20 min drive). Just a warning, all of this is rural florida, and rural florida is as southern and gun loving as much of texas, and we get bears and something known as coywolfs here, coywolfs are coyotes mixed with wolves, and are dangerous, though they avoid humans usually, but you gotta watch out for pets.Gators are only a problem if you go to the tampa bay area or further south, they can't survive much further north. Oh and last but not least, if your near a coastal area and love seafood, florida is probably one of the kings of seafood in the us (though alot of beef and poultry come from florida as well) and of course, florida, if your in the right areas, is arguably the vacation capital of the us, there's always somewhere you can go in this state to find something to do, usually even in small towns. Seminole is nice, its more richy, more expensive, less ethnic. I homeschooled my son, no problem. What is your occupation btw? If nursing-plenty of jobs |

Housing is cheap, barely need a down payment, 2 minimum wage couple can afford to buy homes! Utilities are brutal, will cut services a day late or penny short and cable TV services way antiquated compared to up North, I would call Comcast cable and find out where they service. My folks have to use Spectrum which sucks. Water department will shut off your water if day late, yeah utility companies are brutal |
