Oh really? I didn't know that. I will look into that for sure. I cant get it out. Watched a you tube video using super glue and a straw but I dont want to gunk up the port with glue. I was looking for a set of micro tools. A coward dies a thousand times, but the valiant need taste of death but once. Fear cuts deeper than swords. #Notmypresident. |

Anyone experience this? Quoting: ~Newton's Own~ It's an $800 gaming computer and now it's got the headphone Jack broken off in the port. I've tried to get it out, but no tools I have are small enough. It won't play sound, it thinks the headphones are still plugged in. Anyone have a fix for this? Toothpick and super glue. It's tedious but it works. To ignore tyranny is to give it medium to thrive! |

Superglue a toothpick to the remaining portion in the port. After dries...pull it. Quoting: Victor Kruger Yes, that's the video I saw. Have you done this? I didn't want to gunk up the port. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75101417 Hmmm..not this one. I tried my smallest set of needle nose and even a Bobby pin but couldn5 grab it. I bought some super glue. May try that in a bit. If it’s an audio card, switch to motherboard audio, or vice versa. If you broke the port off the board, regardless, it is practically unfixable. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying... Buy the same board on Amazon and swap the broken one as a return. EDIT: Looks like it’s just the headphone piece stuck. You got this! Last Edited by REaliZe on 02/02/2021 11:39 AM There's. A. H0le. I'm going to work on it right now with the straw method. Wish me luck! A coward dies a thousand times, but the valiant need taste of death but once. Fear cuts deeper than swords. #Notmypresident. |

You can try using superglue on the end of a blunted toothpick. Take care to only use the tiniest dab. Let it set and then pull out the jack end. |
