[ link to dlisted.com (secure)] This embryo battle in 2015 when Sofia and Nick called it quits after four years off-and-on together, two of which were spent engaged to each other. A year after they broke up, Nick sued Sofia for embryos they had frozen together and had planned to use. But after they split, Nick wanted to turn the embryos into children and Sofia did not want that. Sofia wants to keep the embryos frozen forever and believes Nick should move on. Nick pulled at the heartstrings of the pro-life crowd by writing an op-ed in 2015 for The New York Times, begging for the chance to become a papa, then filing for custody of the embryos, which he was calling “Emma” and “Isabella.” Sofia called bullshit on Nick’s pro-life stance, accusing him of having two ex-girlfriends who had abortions. A judge demanded that Nick name his ex-girlfriends, which he refused to do, so he dropped his lawsuit. |

there is obviously more to this situation. He wouldn't be suing unless he thought he was the owner of the property. |
