As close to home as possible. Get to know the merchant(s).

This ^^^ seems to be the best bet along with the poster who said drive out to rural. Being in upstate NY I have a few rural outlets to hit up. Godspeed to us all, this is insane. I'm a warrior and have no clue about market values, my options were always to just end up a warlord lololol

everyone is sold out already. too late.

JM has some rounds and bars, 32 to 35 dollars an oz, but again, they state orders are delayed.

You know damn well that any online retailer would take an order today, for 33 an oz, and if come "fill day" monday or tuesday it's 50, they'll cancel your order.

Strip your locals of WHATEVER they have, even jewelry if you are concerned about the huge jump.

I actually have no silver holdings, been meaning too, but was waiting for under 25 to buy eagles. Not too sad about it, I have other "precious metal" holdings(ammo).

hahaha genius though, the ammo can net you any and all valuable of some fool.

I actually wasn't even making that point, as far as it's power(ammo).

Everything is supply, demand - need and want.

If all this does come down, I can trade "50 dollars worth of ammo" for any amount of silver that someone who doesn't have ammo has.

Everything happening here, is more education than most kids have ever gotten from highschool in the last 20 years. Supply, demand, True value, Needs and wants, not to mention states rights(we've had more lessons in that in the past year than ever).

It's a matter of owning something of value and wanting something else from someone that has it and how to go about obtaining it.

There should be a couple gold/silver bullion dealers in your city - if you live in a decent size city

There is actually an old guy coin shop in a local plaza (east greenbush NY lolol) I will def be hitting up. I doubt most local shops are as up to date as the info from this godsend of a site/resource. Glad this has been my home for "before its news" since the early 2000s

You are a little late to the show.

You can try coin shops, pawn shops or online shops for physical.

If you just want to turn a profit go for SLV, options are best but you can buy the shares too.

Exactly and I was mostly joking about using the ammo for highway robbery lol. Even an extra generator and some gas would be gold to someone who just wants to watch an old movir again or power a coffee pot.

That's what I figured, not trying for profit, more for shtf scenario bartering.

Physical will always cost more than what the stock cost. The stock is called spot price and you will pay 1-2 over spot usually.

Thanks for the input, logically your points are spot on and I will be going around monday and seeing what I can get my hands on in the moment, won't be leaving any shop empty handed or with promises of future delivery.

Exactly, physical goods that have value.

Even a gallon of gas could be worth (in trade value) a hundred dollars to certain people(that have no gas, but lots of something else).

All this "rush" aside for certain things, invest your money in something of value, true value, even if it isn't gracing the headlines in the media. That's what everyone should do. Find something potentially valuable that is in mass quantity in their area and invest. In the end, it's going to pay off.

I wish us all the best, maybe someday there will be a physical GLP ranch we can all whet our whistles at and reminisce and trade some commodities.

A solid piece of advice and duly noted, always have to pay a little more for product in hand.

Totally, and worth the moments of racking your brain to figure out what people will want in that scenario. Something like portable solar chargers. I made a point to stock up on a few of those and have a few old devices stocked with offline pdf files on survival ect.
