Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79572344 Plus. it's a way better method of illustrating what mainly anti-capitalist leftists were supposedly protesting about in the Occupy movement several years ago. That group was anti-profit even if done ethically and honestly. By contrast, the Robinhood.com cabal have gamed the system from both ends of the spectrum. They've been caught both stealing from the rich to give to the poor and also stealing from the poor to give to the rich. Clinton-Foundation leftists/progressives tend to be that way. |

Like I said I fully support this movement but participation comes with great risk. I will probably buy 2 shares and day trade 1 share repeatedly but I have a lot of capital and 2 shares is nothing. From mid July 2020 to Dec 31st I traded a total of 1.7million for an average of 1.6k. TeknaBuzz |

If every retail casual trader in the country combined efforts, they could not make happen what we have seen this week. Fact. A short squeeze doesn't require as much liquidity, in fact not that much liquidity has to be evaporated that this can happen, sometimes at least. There might be complaints of "crashing the system" to justify a totally improper government bailout. But really, it's just one shark eating another shark, which is what markets are all about. Do you own any Gamestop? I don't either, long or short. It isn't crashing me, I am not getting rich, it doesn't have much to do with me or most people. I started out with Robinhood but switched to Webull for the extended trading hours and better charts and tools last year. Big reason I switched is because I got in on a stock KODK last year and overnight I was up over 24k profit. I couldn't sell until RH opened and by that time I only got about 11k profit off that trade. I moved on from RH soon after that. I would highly advise anyone using RH to leave and do so quickly. I don't think Robinhood is going to have the funds to cover all those that leave their platform. The sooner you leave Robinhood the better. What they did was shitty. Allowing the stock to still be sold but not bought driving the price down to protect hedge funds. I highly suggest using Webull. But if you do use Webull go to your options and opt out of the stock sharing program. TeknaBuzz |

Do you not realize that those dumbass gamers you speak of bought a bunch of shares of a stock that at $18 that went to over $500. Some of those dumbass gamers delivered bags of peanuts to gamestop employees with $100 bills taped to them. Another dumbass gamer donated $5000 to a childrens cancer hospital specifically asking the hospital to buy the patients game consoles. These dumbass gamers got my full support. I bought and traded 2 shares of GME last week for profit and I will risk again a small amount I'm willing to risk next week to help support the movement. Not everyone on the chans or reading room are poor, Hot Pocket, Neets living in their mom's basement, and the ones who are just made a lot of money, which is hilariously ironic, because poor Neets dgaf about money - it's not their Value System, and they will waste it on banners and billboards just to irl Troll. But folks can keep deluding themselves as they take this bitch TO THE FUCKING MOON and wreck the Greed-based Value System of the Have's. These Neets do it solely for the Lulz, and, if they get rich in the process, even better. |

But if they're able to keep this up til Friday lots of hedge funds are going to be forced to buy at higher price when their options expire and exercise. Wasn't it supposed to be yesterday Friday for GameStop? They were saying bloodbath on Friday. Puts are constantly bought. I do believe Elon Musk bought some $115 Feburary calls. If I was an option trader generally when you see a stock like this rocket up you would want to bet against it to continue and buy a put option. I'm sure many did just that common sense says that it must go down from these levels sooner or later. But I wouldn't bet against the movement driving this right now. I imagine more and more short positions was started as the price climbed to such high levels seeming like a guaranteed bet. I have multiple accounts I buy & sell stocks. I have an account for long term holds that I buy a small amount of selected stocks each week. And I have a trading account where I buy & sell stocks on a very short term basis. In most situations I'm out of just as quickly as I got in but occasionally I get stuck holding a bag in one for a week or more. With all the attention being on these other stocks I might have to hold some the stocks that would've hit my price targets sooner had it not been for this. So in a way it still negatively affects me. But I'm in full support of what they're doing or should I say what they've already done. Take note that most of the "ideas" for trades at Wallstreetbets is high risk. And in trading you got to always have a risk/reward tolerance. TeknaBuzz |
