I know it's "bad" for you but taste doesn't compare. “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”; Thomas Jefferson |

They didn't bother anyone back then, but people today would throw a fit without immaculately cleaned chicken skin. Looks like the guy in the video is using skinless chicken? I vividly remember skin-on. Who does your thinking? |

Those are already known and really don't make that much of a difference. What makes the difference is a pressure fryer. That is a bit cumbersome to get into a home and very expensive to own if you are not selling chicken 24/7. KFCs main problem came from hiring dumb fucks with poor hygiene and leaving chicken out all day long so as to not have to fire up the pressure fryers more than a couple of times a day. That costs real money. Even the coleslaw is shit now - however they can fuck that up I have no idea. |

Knowing what I know now, MSG was part of the reason and Chicken was more 'farm raised' and less tormented by mass production, maybe. (If you taste really free range compared to mass produced, you'll know the difference). Anyhoo, just found this video posted 1/22/21... Nope |

Broasted chicken does not have the same regiment with the machines. It was timed to the second at kfc and they have (or had) a formula to keep minimum wage employees on top of the task. KFC now is no better than any other local joint who invested in a non-money making pressure fryer. Pizza is much easier and with a window, dumb fucks working there can even see it. |

Those were those tiny kiosks you would drive up to. Just one dude in there filling up and oiling and cleaning the machines. Pay that dude a lot because it is specialized and crucial. A robot makes the chicken from refer truck to bucket. All payment is already automated. A greasy tray pops out of the photomat window and your bucket slides down. Probably would be better than the 1970's KFC. |
