Is it okay to feel sad that we're all going to NOT exist anymore?
Sometimes I think a lot of us are in denial. Maybe that's not you. But I'm just saying that many times we say we don't fear death. But then once we get a taste of it, it isn't always pleasant. Now why am I thinking about these things? Probably because ever since the Coronavirus, I realized that your freedoms can be taken away from you. Remember, this was supposed to be a 2 week thing. It feels like I slipped into another dimension.

Anyways. People always use cliches. They say when someone passes, you move on. But here's the thing. If we all are going to cease to exist one day, is it okay to say that's depressing on some level? And if we don't think about it until it happens, isn't life just a way to distract ourselves from the inevitable? We put our emotions in the simplest things yet forget that we are so close to being gone.

And then we say things such as what we do will influence the next generation. Do we really believe that? Or are we just lying to ourselves to not have to think about the future? One day that generation will cease to exist too and one day the Earth won't exist. It will be as if nothing happened. Even if we did influence a few particles, who cares? Why are we lying to ourselves?

It's hard not to think about things like this during a time like this. Think about all the time people spend being slaves, ''working hard'', climbing the ladder. For what really? Look at what happened with the virus. People lost businesses, got shut down.

Anyways, it's easy to say to look at the bright side. But are we fooling ourselves? It also feels like history gets altered too, no matter what you try to do.

On the other hand, why are we even here? How did we become temporarily conscience?

Okay, this thread is not meant to be negative. I'm interesting to see if anyone has any honest, alternate views that I never thought of. Because I always just hear cliches. Is there honestly anything wrong with thinking about these things? Because maybe I did miss something. I don't know.

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Yeah... and the guy who wrote this gave his life to Jesus not long after. Something to consider.

Energy can be neither created nor destroyed. It simply changes form. Death is but a membrane to another plane. Nobody gets out alive.

Ask any Hospice nurse and they will tell you most fear death at the end. A smaller percentage have already dug their graves and want out of this place. I don't look forward to the pain, but I look forward to going home. I have a conviction that consciousness does not cease to exist.

Back to the pre-human state of consciousness. Undefinable. Others call it heaven or the collective conscious. There are many names, many beliefs, and few that know.
