That seems equally logical. But since when has government done anything logical?

The reason it got the name Spanish Flu is interesting. It didn't originate in Spain. It's thought that the first documented incidence was at a military base in Kansas. But those military people move around a lot, so there's no telling where (geographically) it "originated".

There was a big war underway in 1917. As such, news was being carefully monitored, lest the enemy read something of value. So there was no mention of there being a serious and contagious bug blowing around in the US (or likely in any of the other combatant nations). And the Spanish Flu really was a devastating disease. The China Virus needs a lot of marketing exaggeration and statistical manipulation to make it sound so scary. Not so the Spanish Flu. It was a "hemorrhagic fever" type of thing (akin to ebola, in that respect), and you'd get a headache and a fever and feel icky, and then you'd start coughing up blood, and then your bladder and bowels would start to bleed, and then your eyes would start to bleed, and then it'd be over. No need for some iffy test to "prove" what cause to record on the death certificate.

But since Spain wasn't engaged in WWI, reporting the disease that was raging in Spain was fair game. It was raging throughout the world at that point, although the warring nations were pretending it wasn't. And that's how it got misnamed the Spanish Flu.

I figured out why he's signing so many EO's so quickly.
My mother(God love her)suffers from Dementia(late stage now).
In her case, the affects of the disease had a very strange pattern in her mental decline. She would go months in end with no change. Then suddenly, near overnight her condition would worsen significantly.

The first signs were speech issues. small at first, like the old "word on the tip of my tongue" thing. Then the more words dropped from her vocab. Then her word patterns started to jumble.

Sometimes out of the blue she was completely fluid, but most times not so much. I noticed that her worst moments were right after some kind of emotional distress.

After the speaking issues, came the spatial perception issues. Trying to put a glass on a table became difficult for her to figure out where the edge was, or the coaster.

Soon after she could no longer write. Not even her name. I had to do all of it for her. She then chose not to speak because the words always came out wrong. This was followed by hallucinations. The TV "came alive" according to her. She imagined people trying to steel from her. Sick children around her...criminals after her. She accused me of trying to poison her and refused to eat. Even take out.

A lot of these things happened overnight. And I am seeing similar signs with Biden. In 6 months or less, I wouldnt be surprised if he is unable to sign his name anymore, or finish a complete sentence. Sorry for the long winded post.
