Obviously Darwin is not at work here because he's been dead for a century. If you're talking about natural selection, then yes, it is still at work.

God is evolutionary(He enhances and improves us), while demons make us devolve. They’re like spiritual entropy.

It's a "thinning of the veil," which isn't as woo-woo and/or religious as it sounds.

With the advent of mass communication, which was given steroids by the internet, it is more and more difficult for people to do two things: Hide from themselves and avoid looking at the truth of who they are, and live a life of placidness when it comes to the stories (or lies) that other people tell.

With radical honesty comes the thinning and eventual disappearance of the veil between who you are and who you believe you are. Because honesty cannot allow for the veil to exist for long, since the veil, itself, is not real and therefore to insist it is would be dishonest.

So in the interim, while this is happening, it is extremely easy to remember ... other versions of you, for lack of a better way to put it... and if you were really attached to one gender, that will seem like the gender that you "are," despite the fact that when the veil disappears, it is apparent that you are genderless on the level of consciousness that never changes and never ends.
