(In the U.S.) Problem is there is no middle ground anymore which means there is no compromise. The left started all that but the right is to blame as well. I think the radicalization is irreversible so not looking good.

What people don’t realize is that most people’s political views stem from their own self interest (if they have half a brain anyway) so there isn’t that much point arguing.

I was liberal in high school, libertarian in college for the most part, senior year of college I was hardcore constitutionalist (and will always be) then slightly liberal after college, when I moved to Colorado - I was a slighly left Conservative, then when I moved back to Texas I became pretty hardcore conservative, and now I am a moderate conservative. I was a Republican recently never a Democrat even when I was liberal. I am 37 and have never voted for president, lol. Now I’m an independent constitutionalist.

Another thing people don’t realize is that liberal is not synonymous with Democrat even though it seems like it. And conservative is not synonymous with Republican. In fact, in the south for a very long time - people voted for conservative Democrats - Dixiecrats they called them.

People’s political views change with their wealth and status, all kinds of things- even geographic location. It’s not all about people who can just be convinced to come to your side or whatever- so don’t waste your time for the most part. Also, just because you win a debate or argument doesn’t make you right so why argue and try to convince people. It’s a waste of time unless somebody is on the fence or in the middle

I have watched people in my family flip flop all around political wise throughout their lives. So, we really need to stop judging people so harshly but need to come together to fight the leftists (not necessarily liberals) but the hardcore leftists are incredibly destructive and dangerous.

What we need is for the mainstream Dems to hate, fight, and turn their backs on the hardcore leftists. We already have the right against them of course. What we need to do is turn everybody else against them so they don’t have a chance because they are fucking insane.

They would have me locked up or killed for what I wrote up there about being a libertarian for a time. They really should be exiled or locked up. It ain’t the white supremacists and right that are so dangerous. It’s the radical left that is destroying our nation and has been for the last 10-15 years
