Example. Annually, 600 billion dollars spent to keep America going safe and secure. There's an old law that the previous administration didn't take seriously. Feds waived buy America requirement without much pushback.

Big corporations and special interests use loopholes to redirect American dollars to foreign companies.

2018 DoD spent 3 billion on foreign construction contracts.
300 million in foreign engines.

Previous administration foreign construction contracts went up 30%. Not on our watch.

We will tighten Buy American Existing policies.

Creating a Director of Made In America to oversee all gov Made in America initiative.

Agencies must get waiver to NOT buy an American product. Must go to WH to explain it to us. Only used in limited circumstances.

We will work with small American businesses and services to provide that product or service to Feds.

Invest hundreds of billions of dollars in buying american products and materials to modernize our infrastructure. Roads, bridges ports will be rebuilt to be more climate resilient and move good faster, cheaper and cleaner.

It also means replinishing our stock piles to enhance national security. Cuz of Covid. We need to make our own PPE.

Well also invest hundreds of billions of dollars in research and development to sharpen our innovative edge in global leadership... Battery tech, AI, BioTech, Clean Energy.

Will replace all Fed vehicles with clean electric vehicles made in America.

EO will increase Buy American requirements for these kinds of projects and improve the way we measure domestic content requirements.
At least 50% of components of products must be American made. No more loopholes that allow for counting of least valuable parts as part of that 50%. Engines, steel, glass not counted. 50% is not high enough.
We must also value how many American jobs are created/ supported by the manufacturing of that product.

Will work with trade partners to all use tax payer dollars to promote growth and resilient supply chains.

Buy America means buy all America. Black, brown, native American, small business in every region of the country by using National network of manufacturer called Manufacturing Extension Partnership in all 50 states and Puerto Rico to help government agencies connect to new suppliers across the country.

We just do this because our competitors arent waiting while we are sitting on the sidelines.
