Anonymous Coward User ID: 17399250 United States 01/25/2021 01:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The reason I'm posting this is because of anecdotal evidence that people receiving only $600 got their payment, while those eligible for more did not. Quoting: Einherjar of Flies Of roughly 10 people that should've received $600 only, 9 received it, and quickly, before the end of 2020. The one that did not I suspect made too much to be eligible. Of roughly the same amount that would have received more than the $600 due to dependents, etc., none have received their stimulus including myself. I have myself and 3 eligible dependents. Please try and keep the "get a job" and other comments out of this the thread. I'm simply trying to gauge if there is something to this, or it's merely a coincidence. Thanks to all that respond. Still dont have mine either and most of our friends have theirs. |

We did get audited though, so we figure that was why. We thought we might have to end up claiming it as a tax credit. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73671113 I'd be interested to know where you heard that. The prevalent belief is if you hadn't received it by the 1/15/2021 you would have to claim it on your taxes as a credit as you would not be receiving a check although I don't recall where I read that. Anonymous Coward User ID: 78363501 United States 01/25/2021 04:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got $1800 within 2 weeks of them passing the bill. Me + 2 dependents. My brother got only $1200 and should have gotten $1800. My daughter and her BF both got their $600. They're going back now to try to collect on the baby that was born last August. But yeah, I'm an example of someone who got all the money, including for dependents. |

Still, it makes me wonder why so much discombobulation about whom gets which payments. ETA: I've even checked he IRS website about my payment, and they state no information is available. I sent a letter to the IRS about not getting one They sent a letter back saying something about a different tax year. Basically they are trying to use the stimulus to coerce more money out of me. How is that stimulating the economy? What is interesting is that I got a refund for 2018, 2019 & I got the previous stimulus. NOW they wanna have a problem from 2017? They are obviously bankrupt I’m going to write them back and tell them to fuck off Keep it |
