“Indulgence”-Credit System

The system knows what we are capable of. It offers and we either accept or deny.

Credit is like a rope, just take out as much as you need to suspend yourself from an Oak tree...

If we build up our “indulgence credit” to such a high extent and don’t use it, we are then capable of “reaching beyond.” This is what the ancients knew. All life is just to get us to use our indulgences so we don’t “go beyond” the veil and “escape” the system.

There are some bodhisattvas who purposefully use their built-in indulgences to help the world rather than themselves.

The Buddha would say this is not the right way. But is there a “right way?”

There seem to be a thousand metaphysical systems for excusing the crimes of the rich and powerful--prana, merit of ancestors, etc. It's almost like that is the point. You can lay them all out and it still isn't going to convince me that the protection of a community and not the enrichment of a few has been the point of all this. Otherwise, why would anyone need a savior?

“Saviors” have always existed and will always exist. In the future, “they” will be everywhere. This is what “the opponent” fights to stop from occurring.

It seems to me the opponent/adversary fights against saviors that don't and haven't actually save anyone.

This is the reason for the reverse mortgage.
