Message Subject What do I do when a friend asks to work out with me?

I always feel a bit annoyed when someone wants to work out with me. My workout is tailored to me. Plus I go for 3 to 4 hours. Most are not gonna keep up with me. So by working out with them, I'm actually am having to play down to their level. I never understood why people need partners to motivate them to workout. If you can't motivate yourself, you're in trouble.

How should I tell them that I workout for hours and if they can't keep up with me, it does me no good? Is that rude? It really annoys me how friends who have never worked out actually ask me if they can join in.

Dude can you read?

That is not what they are asking. They are asking to work out with you not the other way around. They probably want top see if they can keep up and measure themselves against someone they look up to in the world of working out.

You know it shortens your life expectancy?

Look at all the wrestlers. None live to real old age. Once you bulge your veins and arteries that much you have to do it for all your life or they do not work properly and you die young just like the wrestlers.

30 minutes a day is safe. 3-4 hours is not.

Well you’re wrong because Americans don’t even get enough walking and they sit 10 hours. They need 10,000 steps.

The problem is I don’t have just one friend that wants to workout I have had several. My workouts would suffer if I only did their workouts.
