Anyone receiving PPP has a reduction of 75% of their business from COVID. The amount you get is based on employees and you have to prove those employees worked their in 2019.. There’s a lot OP isn’t telling you |

Quoting: StarF Was this supposed to be your way of getting rid of undesirables? Let the gov create crisis and then tailor intervention to only your "worthy?" Is that why the first reply is about churches? I guess some of you are getting a lesson in collectivist morality; you don't control jack squat even when it's your money. It is pointing out that lots and lots of businesses got free money that were not harmed at all. Some of the businesses really suffered and still are suffering. A lot of them did not and are not. I can see churches suffering because tithes are down - right? People did not attend church. I am not a church hater. But other people did the same or better and still got free $. i.e. if you use a lawyer or CPA did you not use their services due to covid? Hell no you still got what you needed from the lawyer and the CPA still did your tax return. Many still wnet to the doctor. Why are they in my area getting enormous sums of money? Real estate agents in my state did very well. Better in 2020 than they did in 2019. Why did they gets lots of $? Do you have an issue with someone like Tom Brady or congress people getting free $? Where does it end? Also, even so a rightfully so needy restaurant hit hard. Aren't we in a free market so if they fold they fold? Why do you and I have to pay for their payroll and rent to keep them open? Where does it end? The program wasn't means tested but forgiveness is qualified. If someone misrepresented their payroll/FTEs, they are paying that back at 1%. This isn't "free money" like the CARES Act. Do you talk to CPAs and Drs? Many took a hit. People had less money. My PCP turned away everyone for 3+ months, same with the kids' pedi. They would not see anyone. CPAs typically make money when their clients make money (otherwise, what taxes are they paying?!?). It is free money. I don't think you understand the PPP process. CPa's still do the tax returns of businesses that are open. Whether they made money or not. I talk to CPA's and doctors all the time yes. Family members, neighbors and spouse Ok I'll feel sorry for your PCP that could not continue their business without government handouts. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78042016 01/24/2021 01:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Only 2.5 * total money payroll... I personally have a PPP loan for 15k. 5k is ppp eligible and the rest is not... What a lot of you people don’t understand is the PPP loan is a 2 part loan. 1. Is the employee/rent/other forgivable loan which is calculated by the total monthly employee partook amount * 2. 2. is the EIDL loan and that can be to any amount and is based off your revenue. What’s being over looked here is how many businesses got the loan, and realized what was/wasn’t eligible for forgiveness... Many many businesses are realizing this.. they are realizing they didn’t do the accounting right for 2020 and are not eligible for the second draw... I love when GLP talks about finances and accounting... some of these people just want to watch the world burn and do little research on their own.. |

The government was/has been printing money and handing it out like candy the past 12 months! I don't blame the companies for taking it. If you didn't take advantage of the PPP or PUA it's your own fault. However the churches shouldn't have taken it. You get controlled by your Overlords. Sad part is the reality of our economy. This is going to really mess up a lot of things. It's a time bomb waiting to explode. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 79673053 01/24/2021 01:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Wrong...this is just a grant program disguised as a loan program...all of the beggars are being offered “loan forgiveness”! I agree with you though & believe all the loans should be paid back with interest. And if the inspector discovers the beggars lied about the number of employees then the loan repayments should be due tomorrow. |

No. I live in Arizona. And I use all these services. Pool & landscapers come every week, pest management every month (scorpion prevention). They all said everything was business as usual. There’s a lot OP isn’t telling you You are wrong about the 75% reduction that is totally 100% false information. PPP 1 had no rules that you had to have a reduction in income. Totally wrong false information. For the first round of ppp yes you had to show your W-2's and payroll for 2019. Correct. But if you made the same or greater amount of gross business income WHY THE F@#$@# DO YOU NEED TAXPAYER'S MONEY TO PAY YOUR FUTURE PAYROLL? Stop spreading disinformation. You are wrong and you can read it on the SBA website or don't be lazy and just google PPP 1st draw rules. Sigh. PPP2 you have to have at least a 25% drop in income. But the list is for PPP1 I don't know where you are coming up with crap about you have to have a 75% reduction in income. Total BS! Google don't be lazy and spread disinfo. In addition, there was that phone call from the woman to her husband, who died, but the wards being given shots that killed them and there was some alt media news of them talking about getting the injections they used for executions being sent to them and how this was supposed to help with covid. So THEY MURDERED POTENTIALLY HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND ALL THE TAXES WENT TO THEM. THIS IS THE SHIT THAT HAPPENED. THESE WERE ALL RITUAL OWL SACRIFICES.
