Until you go for an ambulance ride, you don't know who friends are
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69056617  When I was young and in a car accident, I lost consciousness and woke up to a woman holding my hand in the rain. I remember her eyes and her voice - and I felt more kindness and caring from her than I have most people. Never found out who she was, just a kind woman (who knew about shock) and chose to stop and help some people out before the ambulance came. I do remember feeling safe with the EMT's. Bless Them.  One of the most rewarding jobs ever is as an EMT. The pay is crap but the reward and sense of purpose. I think everyone should volunteer as an EMT or firefighter that is able. It’s rewarding work. Beautiful story btw :)
