Quoting: Enigmatta Here in Bulgaria all premises are about to reopen in protest on Feb 1st (not that they're not working secretly already). We Central-Eastern Europeans have a huge advantage now - we've already lived through communism, so we are prepared for what's in store and we know how to dodge the system. Yup. Nothing new under the Sun for us. |

Quoting: Anonymer Feigling "One widely publicised effort was an ice skating rink in Szczecin that declared itself to be a flower shop, saying that customers were welcome to “walk, crawl or skate” around its “warehouse” to pick flowers from one of four pots of roses plonked in the centre." "Two nightclubs in Wrocław also reopened last weekend, claiming to be holding meetings that serve to “build structures” for a political party called “Business Owners’ Strike”. Attendees – who had to pay for entry and then had access to a paid drinks bar and a dance floor – had to officially join the new party by filling out a form at the entry to the clubs." The old Rio Theatre in Vancouver happened to have a liquor licence and so rebranded itself a sports bar. Instead of showing films on the big screen, it shows games and serves drinks at the same time. The B.C. Health Ministry, which closed movie theatres but allowed bars to stay open, praised the bar for its ingenuity. Unbelievable. Last Edited by Elegant Walnut on 01/24/2021 01:44 PM |

Its like a rare thing for them when they travel to other countries? /dumbass Polish (or most euro countries for that matter) does not have anything close to american restaurant culture, where the average american doesn't know how to find his or hers kitchen. Of course there are restaurants but the average pole visit them on "special occasions" or lunch. I have been in several smaller towns where the they don't even have one proper restaurant, only fast food like pizza, kebab and Mickey Dees. Instead they are proud of their home cooking. |
