Eating healthy food is no guarantee of health...Steve Jobs was a health nut vegetarian, vegan, and even a fruitarian at one point in his life...Where do you think the name Apple computer came from? He worked in a commune and maintained apple orchards...Macintosh is the name of a type of apple, the McIntosh...Steve died very young at 56

Seriously...

You need to get a life...

Take responsibility for yourself...

Do you want the government to wipe your ass for you too...?

How you eat and what you shove in your face is your own decision...

Nobody makes anybody eat crap...

Thats your own choice to do and make...
 Quoting: FreshAirGirl

The government is making a big enough mess of things and you want them to make it even worse....

Is it just me or are people getting even more pathetic as time goes by on this planet...

We are totally going the wrong direction as a species

The goal is to ensure the continuation of our species.

We’ve lost sight of that, as well as our fundamentals.

and some of those exercise nuts ... going off the deep end on the other side of it.

ABUSING their bodies with not enough rest inbetween. ONLY eating protein and taking all kinds of substances they think will give them the EDGE

all about the goal at the end to be supreme badass and not something to just get out of the house for a bit to ... relax and enjoy a change of pace/scenery

I witnessed a lot of people destroy their bodies so very very early on in their life ... cursing them for the remainder of their journey ... sad ... very very sad

The government should demand that restaurants are using organic ingredients. They should demand that fast foods have more healthy options. I don't see why they can't do it. If everyone can wear masks to prevent virus, why can't we prevent all the unnatural stuff they put in food? Why can't the government force society to be more health oriented? They care so much about our immunity to the virus, but what about health? You never hear the news giving advice on working out and nutrition. I don't get it.

Re: Why don't the government try to make our foods healthier?
It's to make men more effeminate and compliant. The food has been loaded with high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, and all kinds of other substances to lower testosterone, and promote estrogen. Been going on since the late 60s, early 70s. If one's estrogen is higher, and testosterone lower, then one is more compliant, and less apt to fight. In females, it brings on the early onset of puberty. An example would be a 13 year old who looks like she's 24. This is from an overabundance of estrogen. The bottom line is these substances increase shelf life, and therefore profits.

We have enough govt involvement in our daily lives, people have to use a little self-responsibility. Restaurants aren't the problem that grocery stores are. Look in carts - soda, chips, cookies, Hamburger Helper, frozen pizza, bread...

And look what govt (in the form of Michelle Obama) did to our school meals programs. She decided that kids need healthy food, and now vending machines only have diet soda, baked chips, Rice Krispie Treats and Pop Tarts. The meals are so low-cost that they are crap (like pizza every day with a second line that serves a rotation of dry processed chicken sandwiches, nachos, tacos, corn dogs, spaghetti, along with mushy canned veggies and a piece of fruit). Not only is it crap, but it's not very tasty, and so the kids live off the chips and soda in the vending machines. These kids - and I'm talking the brokest of the broke, are still finding $3-$4 per day to spend in the vending machines on extra hot Cheetos and Takis.

Restaurants are the most unhealthy places to eat at so just avoid them. At least that's my definition of unhealthy.

When I go to a restaurant I always research the menu online first. I choose out of the lowest calorie meal, that's typically the healthiest choice because I won't be over eating trash.

It goes back to the wheat, the germ and the chaff. When originally processed and sold, the chaff was separated from the wheat and germ. Then they figured out if they separated the germ from the wheat, they could sell TWO products and also increase the shelf life of both products. From there it was an avalanche of finding creative (synthetic) poisons to add to the food to make the shelf life longer. Normal food molds. Try leaving some fries from the fast food places in a jar, and then see how fast they break down. I saw a video where there was no change after a ... year. Yum. Food that doesn't break down. No different than eating flavored styrofoam.

It also goes back to the patent system. They cannot patent nature. But they can patent nature + their chemicals to create their own "formula" which they are able to dramatically increase the price. They also realize that the sicker they keep the majority of the population, the more $ they make across the board. All of the big companies are invested in each other.

Lastly, when the US Gov gives aids to other countries, one stipulation is that they must buy GMO seed from the US Agro giants. No toxic seed; no "aid". {The aid is a in the form of a high interest loan.} GMO food sterilizes rats by the 3rd generation and there are pictures on Natural News about what GMO does to a pig's stomach.

This is a really bizarre suggestion. If the government started specifying what food we need to eat, it would immediately create conspiracy theories about the government wanting to poison us. Just look at when countries try to improve dental health by adding fluoride to the water, which I am not defending by the way, just showing that government intervention is nearly always turned into conspiracy theories

Simple: because the U.S.D.A. determines what is "safe" for food.and farmers grow alot of corn...Corn makes "corn syrup"

corn syrup is in absolutely everything.because its sweetness causes people to like the flavor. AND BECAUSE OF LOBBYISTS!

MORE Importantly:

What business of the government is it what you order at a restaraunt?????

If you like "organic" you find or create an organic restaraunt.

Nowhere in the constitution does the government get to tell you what you can or can't eat.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74808725

The healthiest food is that which is produced organically in good soil using the best kind of seed and is eaten as fast as possible once harvested. So, there is a wide array of so called "organic" food and obviously, not all are the same. Most organic food is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Even more, they changed the definition of organic. Organic no longer means 100% organic. It now means 95% organic and many companies are using this to their advantage slipping in something you don't want. "Organic natural flavors" is the phrase I've been seeing a lot.

Kosher originally meant the way an animal was slaughtered. Now, it is simply a tax paid to the Rabbis to bless your food, which anybody can do. The Muslims have Halal which is similar to the Kosher killing while the US and Brits use shock prongs to kill the animals. The reason for Kosher and Halal is that supposedly, by killing the animal quickly, you are not allowing the adrenaline of fear to affect the meat and also prevent toxic substances from going into the meat. None of the killing methods employed reduces the fear from infecting every molecule of meat and you literally eat the fear.

Re: Why don't the government try to make our foods healthier?
Because, the healthcare industry & big pharma doesn't profit from us, if we are cured of disease, or, if we are dead. The government receives ALOT of tax revenue from big pharma & the healthcare industry. They want us to perpetually remain unhealthy, just like they've kept us in perpetual war for a Century, to keep their income tax (war tax) fraud continuing. We are their milk cow.
