Quoting: William Kingstone 79862196 here's the piece: [link to soundcloud.com (secure)] fire away. It think it is simple, but comfortable. Opened it with horror (I listened to a lot of self-made-music) and I was positively impressed. that's why I specified in the title that it was small. I know what you mean. lol thanks for the feedback. |

Definitely brought up visual images and feelings for me (someone running, excited, happy, giving or have just gotten good news). I'd say you have genuine talent and should keep working to refine it. In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77141761 1 over quantized, no feel 2 way too fast, again no feel 3 way to digital/harsh, no warmth in the instruments so slow it down and play the virtual instruments live with no quantize then go into midi editor and fix the mistakes. lastly separate the tracks and eq, compress, add some reverb or room ambience and maybe a tape saturator to get a warm classical feel like it's real string instruments. the arrangement is nice if it was slowed down to feel it. music is 90% about mood, 10% technical. best of luck! I was going to say too many flat notes but now I’m a just gonna say what this guy said. Like the direction you’re going. Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... The key is in C Major, which technically doesnt have flat notes, but I did try to use non conventional chord progressions.. thanks for the feedback. |

Don't know if it will work for what you're trying to accomplish but bagpipes make everything extra cool....In my opinion. I think there is an AC DC song that starts with bag pipes that sounded weird to me originally but then it grew on me. Also, if you're not familiar with 2 brothers who play cellos you should check ghemmout, really neat how they've taken modern, mostly top 40 songs, and some rock music and changed the arrangements. Honestly the foundation line sounds like Gounod's "Ave Maria," ( I mean a LOT like and your Prof will know) neverthe less, it is fine it works well of course it has to be about have the current tempo. If you want to keep the current electronic keyboard tempo, you have to come in with a horn. Or horns. Let them question and answer each other. Right now what you have is clatter. Kids waving at each other coming out of school. |
