Another CNN piece trying to convince you that a three-toed sloth that works 16 hours a week (which comes to $240 every two weeks as stated in the video) should be paid $15 an hour so that she can drop down to 8 hours a week.

Do the math, stupid. They TELL you right in the video that she makes $240 every TWO weeks, which means that she is only working 16 hours a week, at $7.50 an hour.

And based on the way that she talks and walks, I can SEE why she hasn't gotten a raise. She looks like about a $3 dollar an hour employee.

Pretty much this. I worked at the macdees as a kid and whatever shit they paid me (like 3.50 an hour) was not enough and I was living with my parents at home. That wage barely covered the gas in the car or the car payment I had to make to my parents. I drove in style back then. A well used company car ford tempo that was all companied out.

So back then I did not have daddy government paying me though. That, at least for the cnn person, more than doubled her income. Where do I get my doubled income from daddy gov? All I do is pay tens to hundreds of thousands in taxes and what do I get? All I can think of is air traffic controllers. The only need for a federal government today.

$7.50 is not enough to live on and min wage should be increased. However, when we have an influx of untrained workers from South of the border willing to work under the table for low wages where they don't have to pay taxes but still get perks, then we have a problem. The working poor (citizenry) aways get screwed.

That being said, she CHOSE not to get training. She CHOSE to have a baby out of wedlock and to become a single mother.

If you think it's so easy to raise minimum wage go start a business and hire employees for $15 or $20 an hour. Let's see you do it if you think it's so fucking easy. Because your a worthless sack of shit you think you have the right to tell others what to do. Fuck off communist piece of shit.

Well, I was 16 and had a child out of wedlock , dad was and still is a POS. I messed up. My parents helped me out and were the best! After I showed up at home pregnant at 15. I knew I had messed up big time. I put my big girl panties on though, finished high school, went to college and worked my butt off so I didn’t have to end up like her. Now, happily married for 10 years with 3 wonderful kids and not living like her. If you want to be better, then BE BETTER!

And THERE IT IS! Thank you for not making excuses and for pulling yourself up and out of a difficult situation. Thank you for taking responsibility for your mistake that caused the situation in the first place.

BRAVO!

IF THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT WASNT THERE TO STEP IN AND PICK UP THE GOD DAMN TAB, SHE WOULD BE MAKING MORE MONEY.

Re: This is $7.50 an hour life
Good G/d what some dillusional propaganda. This girl will be no better off at $15 an hour because she's obviously NOT working full time, AND, then she would lose all her cushy benefits.

Wow, so here are some things I also noticed.

1. Her house is VERY nice, two story, granite counters, and she only pays like $230 a month, sorry don't feel sorry for her.

2. She says she can't afford vegetables but has SODA in her cart.

3. She acts like they don't have enough food to eat, BUT she looks VERY well fed to me.

4. She says she only goes to doctor if she has too, well so what, so do most people, AND it's obviously all paid for.

5. She said a root canal was going to be $300, seriously, she's got to have benefits for that also, because no way root canal is only $300 around here.

6. She complains that she only has her second check of the month to buy her kid nice things, but if she got $15 an hour and lost all her benefits, she would have zero left to buy her kid anything. I know, been there, done that.

7. Funny how she even splits her housing price with her sister. My understanding is that you can't have others living with you when you're getting free housing.

8. She doesn't realize how lucky she is to even have free housing. In Florida, there's usually a two-year waiting period, and will mostly NOT go to whites for some reason.

9. As a side note, those boots look pretty dang pricey.

Maybe baby daddy shows up and gives her some money off the books if he still wants sex. Hopefully she is on bc. Or else she will get more for a second child.

Your right, this is slavery. People who pulled out, went to skill, learnt a trade, took out student loans are busting their ass to pay for this kids food, daycare, housing. This is slavery and the taxpayers are the slaves, not the givsmedats getting free shit.

If I manage a business at the store level, and all of my employees get their wages essentially doubled...
That means I should be earning about $90,000 a year, correct????

Why the fuck is she bitching? It's her own life choices that got her there. She decided to have a kid with a deadbeat, and decided not to learn any valuable skills that would get her a job worth more than $7.50/hr. I bet she fucks up orders too. She's probably one of the morons that puts cheese on my sausage biscuit with egg at least once a week. There's not even supposed to be cheese on it for fuck's sake. It's called the sausage biscuit with egg, not the sausage egg and cheese biscuit. Sorry, no tears from me.

Re: This is $7.50 an hour life
Listen, I washed cars for 8 hours a day. Then I ate dinner and caught a ride to another county and worked another 4 hours washing cars. When I got home, my feet were wrinkled and bleached white from the chemicals. The skin used to fall off of my soles. I did this 5 days a week and some Saturdays.

Why? Because I wanted to eat and have a roof over my head.

I bought a car for $600 and fixed anything that broke on it with cheap tools I bought at Advanced Auto. I had 2-3 roommates in a 2 bedroom apartment and slept on the couch.

Life SHOULD be hard when you are young. It teaches you to be strong and how you must work for everything. Do this right, and life will get easier as you get older. Take the easy way out, and you will ALWAYS BE POOR.

Just facts.

Did you support a child?

Do you think she should have had an abortion? Is it the child's fault that she got pregnant and decided to keep the baby? Do you think that society is better served by not giving her aid and leaving her and her baby homeless?

I did not have a child until I was married and owned a home. Responsibility. Look it up.

I know plenty of women who have had a very difficult time finding a guy willing to settle down
They spent many years waiting for the ring or facing heartbreak because they didn't want to risk getting pregnant unwed
And finally they got married, age 30 plus
And finally they were finacially ready
But they could not get pregnant, IVF maybe, donor egg etc.
Responsibility

Maybe beyond teaching woman to not have children at an early age, we should be promoting that woman freeze their eggs and men their sperm at early ages. Freeze it, while it's in it's prime, for both sexes, then raise the children while you are in your prime financially hopefully mentally.

Hmmmm. I wonder if Microsoft's Bill Gates ever had the idea to use eugenicist-bots to shill-post in forums propaganda designed to make it appear like the "cool kids" were going to practice birth control?

That is a big part of the problem. It is also a cultural issue. To take this out of the US to TRY and avoid labels being tossed around, having 5, 10, 15 kids is just not sustainable, maybe 500 years ago it seemed ok.

I think the problems start with the males though and, of course, is cultural and probably just societal as a whole. So fixing that would be a start.

But in reality you may as well be talking to a brick wall here, not meaning specifically here because it is a deficiency most humans seem to have where they cannot understand something until they experience it themselves.

You will hear 'i did it' and things to that affect as justification all the while never understanding what it feels like to take one step forward and two steps back, coming home to an addicted parent and so many other things that would take pages to cover.

To be clear, $7.50 an hour must be an old video.
