What gets me is that is an expensive weave she is wearing. Did someone get that for her becuase she was going to be on CNN? Does she know someone that gave it too her. I mean she is not getting root canals for savable, permanent teeth and yet trades it off for temporary weave? And she works at Mc Donald where no one could care less what you look like. So this choice she made is just plain stupid, if she paid for it. Which only speaks to her other poor choices.

In this case she is doing all she can, becuase she is a low IQ individual. The tricky part is discouraging her from having more low IQ children such as herself. She has her one and needs to do a good job raising it. So throw in free contraception's and coupon's and other services as a reward for being a good parent to one child.

It's not her poor life choices. The same happened to me. But you shouldn't have to pay for it. Still, you have been for over a hundred years. You pay $10-$20 in extra income taxes for every $5 value meal McDonalds sells.

And they pocket all the profit while you pay her childcare, healthcare and food stamps.

Are you going to blame her? Or are you going to blame the bastards the government that set up this corporate welfare scam?

Do you still shop at Walmart?

Do you still shop at McDonalds?

This shit doesn't stop till their parking lots are empty.

But the McRib is back for a limited time...
 Quoting: Soundman

I LOVE you, lol. Thank you for that funny in a dark conversation. :D

...

So you mean to tell me that you haven't bought a single item at Walmart, from Amazon, Best Buy, Target, any of those monster corporations in the past decade at least?

Not buying it.
 Quoting: Green Eggs & Ham

Ive’d used amazon but do my best to grow as much as I can and don’t even have WiFi. What do you do? You eat fast food and shop at Walmart I bet.
You’re blaming companies...it’s always someone else’s fault you have a crap life right? Raise the minimum wage and any small businesses that are left will fold. I’m not sure of your point. Again, what do you do?
 Quoting: lazydaze

Oh no, I jumped in on that conversation but I wasn't supporting the idea of changing the minimum wage at all. That's irrelevant.

As far as what I do, I've only started. I haven't even figured out the toilet paper problem yet. We have a small factory in town so I may visit them with a plan.

Meanwhile, no, I actually don't eat fast food, literally ever. I'd vomit. I haven't eaten anything like that for years and years. And I haven't shopped at Walmart either, but they're just one company. I HAVE shopped at Amazon, but killed my account the day I saw the Catherin Austin Fitts interview. Here it is by the way: [link to www.bitchute.com (secure)]

This is a new idea for me, and like I said, it's going to require an enormous lift. Maybe a concept like a "middle class union" to tweak their noses a bit. Only buy from these businesses that aren't traitors trying to kill us all.

I'm just now coming up with this idea so I'll take input with great appreciation.
 Quoting: Green Eggs & Ham

Go to estate sales, they are generally run by small local businesses. The money generally goes to the estate sale company and the estate (occasionally the money goes to the bank, you can often research the address history beforehand)

You can get many material goods that are still very good (be careful of things which can't be easily washed/cleaned; watch out for old dishes and cookware and silverplate which can contain lead (and other heavy metals))

Sometimes they even sell toilet paper, though I am not sure if I would be up for that

How about a pop song about morning sickness, stretch marks, incontinence, failed epidurals, c-sections and mastitis

Where others see poverty, I see privilege. According to givingwhatwecan.org her income places her in the top 3rd wealthiest people in the world. If you include the benefits she is qualified for, she’s in the top 17%. She has clothes with no holes, a cell phone, internet, transportation, medical care, a house with solid walls and no leaks, heating and air conditioning, can afford to not have to garden or hunt for her meals, access to a library and the internet for education, time on busses to learn, someone to help with the kid, indoor plumbing so she doesn’t have to haul water, conveniences like diapers, multiple rooms in her house, classy boots, a nice hairdo, jewelry... I can go on.

The biggest improvement she might make is following the USDA’s guidelines on groceries. She can cut her food bill in about half by following their simple recommendations, and feel better/be healthier at the same time. Second biggest improvement is to utilize all the time waiting on busses to read free books from the library or listen to their free audiobooks to gain the next step in her career, using that cell phone.

If she wants to rise into the top 10% of income as most Americans earn, it is good to know she lives in a privileged nation and a privileged city. She can find someone working the job she loves and interview them to find out exactly what she needs to do to get into the same career. If it requires a college degree, she no doubt qualifies for free schooling, or a scholarship. But even jobs which say they require a degree will still hire the right person. I have no degree but my job usually requires a degree, and I am working.

It is only because we live in a culture of greed that a low-skilled worker can earn the top 3rd richest income in the world yet be considered poor.

You fail to take into consider the cost of living per country.

A full time job at $7.50 hour brings $15,600 before taxes. With one dependent, a full time minimum wage earner brings home $ 14,101.60, or $1,175 per month, excluding insurance.

Any hospital visit requires co-pays. Her subsidized root canal would still require 25% of a ft monthly salary. She likely has some form of medicaid copay or insurance cost deducted from her check.

In Detroit, 1% of apartment rentals are $500 or below. 22% average between $500-$700. The average 1 bedroom rental is $1400.

The average electric bill in the US for a 1 bedroom apartment is $60. In Detroit, the average monthly utility bill (water, electricity, heat) for a one bedroom apartment is $160.

Most municipal water supplies are barely potable. Many people spend $20-$40 for clean drinking water.

A monthly bus ticket in Detroit is currently $60.

Internet/cell phone: $57.

$500 rent (if you live in a slum)
$160 utilities
$60 bus fare
$57 phone and internet
= $777

One is left with $400 to cover food for a parent and child, cleaning supplies, clothing, laundry, insurance copays, fresh water, child care, school supplies, repairs, etc.

If the renter cannot find the slums and has to pay $700 a month, they are left with $200 for food, insurance, clothing, laundry, etc. The person has no life. No entertainment, no birthday or Christmas for the kids, all clothes from Goodwill, no toys or games unless they come from thrift shops and yard sales. No emergency cash if one loses their job or someone breaks into their place and steals stuff.

The full-time minimum wage earner spends two days a week taking care of all of the stuff that couldn't be done in the week - laundry, cleaning, cooking, doctors appointments, shopping. If they are lucky enough to get a paid vacation, they have no money to go anywhere.

This assumes that one can find affordable housing with access to public transportation and subsidized child care and insurance.

Most jobs in the inner cities don't pay much above minimum wage.

7.50 x 80 = 600 after taxes about 500$ not 240....so she is not working full time at 7.50 and has a child. This is noone elses fault or responsibility. work more, get a better job.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67904014

Yes that is federal taxes around that bracket.

But wait there is more!

What about social security medicare and medicaid withholdings. That is another 7.5%.

Most people also pay a combination of state income taxes and/or state sales taxes. so that is another 10-20% gone depending on what state you live.

Every utility/phone/TV bill has some sort of tax or fee that must be paid.

depending on where this person lives their property taxes are passed directly on to them.

At the end of the day the average person pays around 50% of their wages to taxes in some form or another that is a FACT.

And let's be real - I started out in the 80's with a no skill manual labor job where I was paid almost double $7.50 and the dollar was worth more than twice as much due to inflation! So these people are making 1/4 of what you made in the 1980's!

These kids are a mess I'll agree - but to be honest they don't stand a hope in hell the united states is an economic wreck!

Re: This is $7.50 an hour life
Good G/d what some dillusional propaganda. This girl will be no better off at $15 an hour because she's obviously NOT working full time, AND, then she would lose all her cushy benefits.

Wow, so here are some things I also noticed.

1. Her house is VERY nice, two story, granite counters, and she only pays like $230 a month, sorry don't feel sorry for her.

2. She says she can't afford vegetables but has SODA in her cart.

3. She acts like they don't have enough food to eat, BUT she looks VERY well fed to me.

4. She says she only goes to doctor if she has too, well so what, so do most people, AND it's obviously all paid for.

5. She said a root canal was going to be $300, seriously, she's got to have benefits for that also, because no way root canal is only $300 around here.

6. She complains that she only has her second check of the month to buy her kid nice things, but if she got $15 an hour and lost all her benefits, she would have zero left to buy her kid anything. I know, been there, done that.

7. Funny how she even splits her housing price with her sister. My understanding is that you can't have others living with you when you're getting free housing.

8. She doesn't realize how lucky she is to even have free housing. In Florida, there's usually a two-year waiting period, and will mostly NOT go to whites for some reason.

9. As a side note, those boots look pretty dang pricey.
