$7.50 is not enough to live on and min wage should be increased.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78445863 Minimum wage is not supposed to be enough to live on. You earn a decent wage by having a marketable skill. If you have no or few marketable skills, you get minimum wage. It's supposed to be incentive to better yourself by improving your skill set. It's not meant to sustain a family. If you're still earning minimum wage at 22 you've made some bad life choices.
