How does adding 20 million to the homeless rolls serve society? Do you think you would be safe if suddenly financial assistance was cut to the poorest? You would probably spend most of your income defending your property against those who have nothing else to lose.
Quoting: Happy in Nature So I should support them out of fear?? That the most ridiculous argument I’ve heard so far, pay them for being irresponsible or they’ll rob you! What do you think would happen to society of you cut off food and housing assistance to the poor? Do you honestly believe some Libertarian Utopia would emerge? Or would it be Mad Max, where no one gives a fuck? Chicago, Detroit, Camden, etc, etc., are already Mad Max. Throwing more money at them doesn't help. I am talking about what happens if you take 20 million Americans off food and housing assistance. Your salary/profits/dividends will go down and your taxes will increase as society collapses while you spend all of your time working to pay security to defend your property. Your quality of life will suffer, too.
