The trouble with this bitching is no matter what the government does it's never enough........ever
A failed capitalist system is one in which everyone wants Uncle Sugar to provide for their own failings after the same Uncle Sugar precipitated their failings with the very policies that were supposed to help them.
We've allowed an entire generation of unfit individuals to propagate in a system that was designed for self sufficiency and subsequently decided to subsidize them.
Dovetail this with the global economy and third world nations hijacking our manufacturing base with the full cooperation of our government and we are doomed to failure.
At the outside I give it until the end of this decade.

If you look throughout US history there was only one period of true prosperity and that was post WW2-about 1970. It was built on credit and designed to fail. Real value and real money doesn't exist. Most large payrolls now go directly through the Federal Reserve. Game over. Even Wall Street floats on zombie money.
