I'll go down to my local post office and apply for a job. I bet within a week or two they will call me up and be begging for me to come and work. Why? I don't have a college degree, but I did graduate from college. I'm retired and loving life. Yet this poor lady won't even try to do better for herself. I wonder why she has that mindset. If she has child care then she should not have a part time job. She should be actively looking for a full time job. Thus coming back to the post office, she could probably get on there and begin to make some serious cash.
Too bad her life circumstances won't allow her to get hired. She might be a great employee, if she only will try....harder.
Quoting: Tynyyn Maybe there aren't many jobs in her area. Maybe she cannot afford transit to another part of town. Do you think Jesus would mock her? Quoting: Happy in Nature Honestly, I don't think he was mocking her, just stating a fact. Like I said earlier, raising her wages to $15 will do nothing for her, they will just cut her welfare. Do you know how many working poor there are? Those moms and dads don't have as nice a place as her and probably less food and NO medical, and they don't get to spend all their time with their kids as she clearly does since she's only working a few hours. What would Jesus think about the working poor being snubbed on a daily basis?
