When my dad passed I started a thread, and I thought to do the same thing you're talking about, printing it off and putting it away for a later day. I still haven't done that....I think because it will bring it all back into focus.

My dad was a hard case, though. He disowned my brother and I, although in the end he did remember us in his Will.

I am so grateful for chic that she has had a good relationship with her mother, and she won't have the questions I did. I'm grateful she's going to have good memories to take with her until she meets her mom again. I'm sure she must know her good fortune.

Deepest sympathies friend. Know that she will be in a better place, and at least you got the joy and love and honor knowing her while she had her time on earth. Your memories will be your treasure and your love eternal. God Bless and prayers

I'm glad anytime I see that kind of relationship with a parent. When I remarried, I was gone for almost 30 years. My husband was AF. We went home as often as we could, but with 3 kids and pets, it was always interesting. I'm glad I had a year and some with my mom before dementia took her away from me. Visiting her in the memory center was difficult. Almost 2 years later, I still miss her.

Prayers and love for your mother and family. Losing a parent is always hard. Please try to take ease with knowing that she will simply wake up in her real life. This is the dream.

One thing I did that has brought me comfort. I kept a

Journal of our last few weeks together. When I go back and

read it, there are many details that would be lost over

the years to a blurry memory.

People will die and life will carry on my brother. My mama has always told me "wish in one hand and shit in the other, see which one fills up faster". I love my mama like no other, but she ain't wrong. Life is rough brother, just keep chugging along.

Dear Heavenly Father, I know that you are going to take care of President Elect Guitar John's mom. At this time I pray that you wrap your arms around this family as they say see you later to this mother.
