If no Capitol "Insurrection", then no troops in place, so how would a military takeover happen?

If there had never been any drama on 6th, there would never have been a call for 25k+ NG and the rest , there would never have been a prison like lockdown of DC.

With the talk of the military being in control now ,with the powers of clause 11.3 of the War Act , how would the military "takeover plot" have been achieved ?

It seems very convenient that the events of the 6th took place, spurring panicked calls for a military presence. Naturally the mind wonders if the White Hats had to resort to dirty tactics to get things going. Yet the evidence so far does not suggest a Republican plot (?) So that kind of discounts that theory.

But if it was a Dem plot, then all the massive military presence only works against them if we believe a takeover is in the works. They would surely have "some" clue about some plot afoot if we mere internet researchers know about it !!!

Now there are all these troops in place, which is the perfect scenario for a military takeover at some point.

If this was not expected by the military then how would they go about a "takeover" ? If there was not 25k+ troops and all sorts of defensive capability all nicely in position.....Would they have simply "descended upon DC in a storm" at some appointed time?

I'm neither discounting the Military takeover plot line nor fully embracing it (I'd love to see it happen), I am simply looking at all the jigsaw pieces and it just bugs me how the situation as it stands - all soldiers in position - is just so very, very convenient. No ?

Did the Dems ask for a limited NG presence, ie was it Trump that piled on the massive amount of extra troops, all the other bells and whistels, without actually being asked ? That would make sense, if he knew "the plan".

But aside from that, back to the original Q - just how the hell would a takeover go down if right now in DC there was just "normal life" - no military presence.
