Jesus said that Elijah already came in the person of John the Baptist.

He's not coming again.

When Jesus does finally return in glory, it will not be to set up an earthly kingdom (he told us many times that his kingdom is not of this world), but to gather the few believers still remaining and get the heck out of dodge before the final conflagration. He won't even touch down his feet on the earth this time, as he'll be in his full heavenly glorified body.

Jesus' second coming will be the end of mankind and God's final judgement. This is not something to wish for.

If you yearn to be with Jesus, become his follower. Then you can be in his presence day and night, whenever you want. But to wish for his second coming is to wish for a time of great tribulation for believers and unbelievers alike. Be very, very careful what you wish for.
