Antidepressant use in America is at least 10%
Remember when the best-selling book Listening to Prozac came out almost 20 years ago?

Now Americans aren’t just reading about Prozac. They are taking it and other antidepressants (Celexa, Effexor, Paxil, Zoloft, to name just a few) in astounding numbers.

According to a report released yesterday by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), the rate of antidepressant use in this country among teens and adults (people ages 12 and older) increased by almost 400% between 1988–1994 and 2005–2008.

The federal government’s health statisticians figure that about one in every 10 Americans takes an antidepressant. And by their reckoning, antidepressants were the third most common prescription medication taken by Americans in 2005–2008, the latest period during which the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) collected data on prescription drug use.

Here are a few other stand-out statistics from the report on antidepressants:

23% of women in their 40s and 50s take antidepressants, a higher percentage than any other group (by age or sex)
Women are 2½ times more likely to be taking an antidepressant than men (click here to read a May 2011 article in the Harvard Mental Health Letter about women and depression)
14% of non-Hispanic white people take antidepressants compared with just 4% of non-Hispanic blacks and 3% of Mexican Americans
Less than a third of Americans who are taking a single antidepressants (as opposed to two or more) have seen a mental health professional in the past year
Antidepressant use does not vary by income status.

This is information from Harvard School of Medicine. And these numbers are from 2008. You can be sure it has gone up significantly since then.

I had to ditch them because I felt like a zombie.

Doctors write the scripts just to get people out of their office. Of course, only after taking their money.

Bastards, all of them.
The truth is easy to remember.

I think it is their relentless advertising and freebies to American doctors.

The percentage of people on SSRIs is still going up. Here is some numbers from 2017. (Previous figures in OP is from 2008)

[link to www.apa.org (secure)]

12.7%
The percentage of the U.S. population over age 12 who took antidepressant medication in the past month, according to an analysis from the National Center for Health Statistics. Most antidepressants are used to treat depression, while some are prescribed for other conditions.
64%
The increase in the perecentage of people using antidepressants between 1999 and 2014. In 1999, 7.7 percent of the population took the medication.
19.1%
The percentage of older adults (over age 60) who took antidepressants in the past month. Antidepressant use increases with age. These medications are used by 16.6 percent of people ages 40 to 59, 7.8 percent of those ages 20 to 39, and 3.4 percent of adolescents ages 12 to 19.
2 times
Women are twice as likely as men to take antidepressant medication (16.5 percent compared with 8.6 percent). Women are more likely than men to take antidepressants in every age group.
16.5%
The percentage of non-Hispanic white Americans taking antidepressants, about three times as much as any other race or ethnic group. By comparison, 5.6 percent of non-Hispanic black Americans, 5 percent of Hispanic Americans, and 3.4 percent of non-Hispanic Asian-Americans took antidepressants in the past month.

Women who take antidepressants during pregnancy may be more likely to have children with autism, a Canadian study suggests.

This is an admission from the folks that bring us the Scientific American magazine, a periodical that is normally a huge embarrassment to both scientists and Americans.

Anyways, this is what I am getting at: The newer SSRI drugs are more likely to trouble the patients, by inducing zombie-like states, or making them feel out of control. They make patients more compliant and suggestible, which is appealing to the psychiatrists.
[link to books.google.com (secure)]

A lot of doctors even give them to pregnant women to keep them from getting depressed while pregnant, then the babies are born autistic.

These suggestible and compliant people are gobbling up the deep state propaganda on the evening news and elsewhere, and then voting deep state in lock step faction.

I'd love to see the breakdown by voter registration.
I bet at least 80% of antidepressant users are registered Democrats.

This article starts out by presenting data that they clearly admit shows, without any question, that blue states have massively more psychiatrists and SSRI scripts than red states. But then they say the numbers are skewed because red staters are ignorant and poor, and consequently just can't afford either psychiatrists or SSRIs.

What do you expect from this commie rag?

It requires about a year to be weened off these drugs.
More or less.
That year that you choose to quit - will be your 'Year of Sorrow' I can say from experience.

The withdrawal or de-toxification is very hard on the body.
Your body will hurt and you'll develop symptoms that will make you fear that you are dying.
Emotional collapse and suffering.
Feeling frail and anxious around people. Sudden convulsive episodes of weeping and being unable to cope.

This is a way to keep yourself from blowing your brains out;

Use this time of suffering to repent and ask Jesus to walk with you.
Jesus is real. He is able to help you escape this mental anguish.

To repent means to to turn away from you old way of living into a new way; walking with Jesus.
He will speak to you during the worst of your suffering.
Hew will make a way for you to get through it.

Everyone is different. I escaped. I lived to tell you.
Now I walk with Jesus daily and He is THERE FOR ME.
No more fear. He has given me a different life.
Totally different than before.

With the confusion and uncertain times ahead of us you could try to secure more meds and try to endure.. but if you find yourself without meds or run out, remember that Jesus is there for you.

Because that is one of the goals of the deep state.

The MSM pits every demographic against another demographic.
Ice caps melting.
Global temperatures are now higher than in the past, ever since they adjusted all the old temps down by two degrees.
Polar bears dying because they have no ice floes to eat.
Poor intercity hoodlums are getting arrested after robbing or killing someone.

Endless fake news that is meant to make you depressed and helpless to the point that you want a powerful federal government to take care of you from cradle to grave.

The 1% is making a lot of money off all of this.

Deep State doesn't control depression. heh.

Depression is lack of positive coping skills.

Only 3 factors of disaster:
1. population density
2. gender imbalance (human rights)
3. resource depletion

Make better choices.

Beware of Sarafen. Its mostly Prozac rebranded to treat PMS.

Sarafem (fluoxetine)

What it’s for: Treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PDD), a severe form of PMS.

You can get the same drug as an inexpensive generic. But there has been a big push behind the brand name. Faced with steep declines in sales of the antidepressant Prozac when the generic hit the market, Eli Lilly rebranded it with a feminine name and a slick ad campaign—and slapped on a high, brand-name price. Although Sarafem’s website points out that the drug is not for depression, the active ingredient is an antidepressant: fluoxetine, or generic Prozac. But that costs $30 monthly; Sarafem is about $330.

Money money money for the 1%.

I see opportunity at every turn.
Positive outlook.

If.
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

and so on.

Re: Antidepressant use in America is at least 10%
The women in their 40s and 50s have a good reason - menopause. Hormones tank and women start to feel like shit, especially because it impacts their sleep. Almost all doctors flat out REFUSE to prescribe hormone replacement to women any longer. The AMA has told them to prescribe low doses of antidepressants such as Trazadone and Doxepin for sleep (off normal use). They are not habit forming and don't have the other side effects that sleep aids like Ambien have. If you are prone to snoring or any sleep apnea (people who snore also normally have sleep apnea), a stronger pill like the Ambien can put you in such a deep sleep you won't wake up and you die in your sleep. So, you can expect that almost all older women will get a prescription for one of these low-dose antidepressant (sleep aids) at some point in their lives.

Prozac was introduced by the Solvay family, a family associated with the Chateau des Amerois. They own it today. This is the place with the room of 'a thousand points of light'.

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Abbot purchased all the pharmaceutical rights from Solvay recently.
"Belgian chemical and pharmaceutical group Solvay said on Monday it will sell its entire pharmaceutical business to Illinois-based global firm Abbott for more than 4.5 billion euros to focus on chemicals. The deal, which could rise to 5.2 billion euros (US$7.6 billion) if add-on clauses are met, sees Abbott take over all Solvay's pharmaceuticals employees and assume liabilities including future exposure to litigation. "

7 Billion USD. And they didn't care about the millions of adult lives ruined or extinguished, nor the thousands of autistic children created. And lots more to come in the future. But it creates deep state voters so they can continue to make that money.
