Re: The BIG Colorado Thread......post anything about CO
Colorado..... land of awesome! It is my favorite state, specifically 5e western slope. I wish to create a thread about this incredible state. I lived there for many years and all over the state. I have been to just about every area of it.

I plan to retire there in the neat future, however, I am worried that the Californicators moving in are destroying it. I wish to retire on the eastern slope for very specific reasons, namely, it appears to be one of 5e safest places to live during the coming polar reversal resulting from the micro-nova that will occur around the early 2040’s. The great rocky mtns will take the blunt of the wave from the pacific that will be incoming. Some of the water may reach up and over but it will be minuscule compared to what will come.

Post away, about anything!

Fortunately for micro nova's to happen, there needs to be a dual star system, where one has already gone nova, and is sucking material from the other star, so it can micro nova.

So it can't possibly happen here.
I believe in science NOT religion. Giving me bad karma for that, is anti-religious (you're passing judgement) I am just a man. Of no significance. Who found religion to be full of lies, and wrong doing, conflicted teachings
I understand microwave communications.
I do not stand for the NWO, it sucks.

We lived in Colorado, in the mountains of the western slope, Gunnison co. It was horrible, the people with mental illness, and all the tensions between Co natives and from Ca was getting bad, like fist fights. We sold our mountain properties, even river view, and moved to OK, we could not be happier. Cost of living is cheaper, people are more real and respectful, thousand fold more than CO. Our advice, stay the hell out of there!

It's spelled San Luis Valley, which is the highest altitude alpine valley in the USA. I'm at 8250 feet. Snow on the ground and much more on the Sangre De Cristo mountains.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78915931

My apologies , did not known even though been through it a dozen times probably. Still beautiful!
 Quoting: —Taoist—

It's still too cold and too much snow, but in Spring, I'm planning a trip to the Sand Dunes, right outside of Mosca to enjoy the scenery and launch a few Estes rockets. I want to test out Chute Release on some lower altitude launches before I commit it to Level 1 NAR attempt.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78915931

The National Sport Launch is in Alamosa Memorial Day weekend. 12,000 AGL waiver. Check out the NAR site: [link to www.nar.org (secure)]

Level 1 is easy, my Level 2 took forever. Zippered one rocket, then I got deployed. Came back and zippered another, ended up bumping a heavy rocket to 1,000’ and used regular ejection, nothing fancy. KISS works well in rocketry.

Also, there are regular launches at Hartsel. The most beautiful launch site in the world.

Fly high, fly safe.

I’ve been to Vail, Denver and Crested Butte. It’s a pretty state.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74864661

The most beautiful place in the world is pointless without OTHER PEOPLE! There's NO ONE THERE!

Life has become so dam lonely where is everybody?

Long post guys. Lots of emotion. Spent A LOT of time in Colorado the past 6 years. Tried dating a few people it was a disaster. One guy was an off grid developer, I talked about building a home. He showed me off grid homes he builds in the Fort Colins area, I spent three weeks once in Fort Collins, it's like anywhere else, unless you have a PURPOSE there, a job, school a relationship, it's not that great! It's filled with hippies bums and low income people. I tried several restaurants, all horrible. One place served me mutten when it was on the menu as lamb. I was furious and really let them have it and walked out.

I was just in Denver a few weeks ago, during election; I voted early. It was my 12th or so trip in 6 years, I'd been trying to acclimate to Denver or anywhere in Colorado, and I can't. I'm sorry, Colorado is a fantastic place, for 2 weeks, then I need to go back to Kansas, where you can BREATHE!

This last visit, because I wasn't as strong and healthy as usual, I got extremely sick from altitude sickness coupled with the grief and emotions of what's going on. I don't know how I made it. I then went over the mountains to LA for three days, making it worse. By that time I was near suicidal. I rested three days in a motel room, the forth day I went strait back on route 70. I also had to piss outside of a gas station in Nevada where some cunt had the bathroom closed. The West was a nightmare. I forgot Vegas has no Hotels coming or going they force you into town, I kept going and ended up at some crap casino and paid triple to walk up. No decent food anywhere, just a nightmare, I lived on sandwiches and chocolate milk for two weeks.

By then I was glad I had not bought a home there in 2015, even though I would have been able to sell it for double. I can't live there. Just not enough Oxygen.

It's also way to liberal and way to many people from California.
All the liberal cities feel spoiled and ruined. I'm trying to determine which communities are normal. Is Orlando normal, Gainesville? I mean ALL cities are liberal places now! When you're single it just sucks, what do you do, live in the sticks with a shotgun at the door? Not realistic.

They ruined life in blue cities. I'd live in South Dakota but the COLD! Besides Kirstie isn't going to be Gov forever!

Where else? What's Oklahoma City been like? Where is life normal? Anywhere? because Nashville will never be the same, ever.

This is outside of Cripple Creek beginning of fall. Love the Aspens changing colors, raised in Colorado in Security/Widefield area. Husband is from Monte Vista up until the virus we would go and stay up with his parents at least once a month. Sure miss the cold mountain air in the morning, and looking for UFOs at night amongst all the stars.

Sorry, but you have no clue what your talking about. Our star has micro-nova’d countless times. And is on course to do so again, it’s actually late. It does so every 12,000 yrs or so. Evidence is all around us. It’s what causes the ice ages. To survive you need to be in a cave, not underground mind you. That’s where our fearless leaders went wrong building all the DUMBs and tunnels. Death traps. Must be in a cave where you are able to get fresh oxygen and leave at will when the deep sink winter recedes.

We travel a lot in Colorado by motorcycle, and always find another spectacular drive, even after many years of exploring the state.

Last year we took a day trip from Kremmling up to Steamboat, then southwest on 131 highway back to I-70 at Wolcott.

No traffic, to the point of being a little eerie. Found gas in Toponas, and a cold beer. The wide open spaces in that part of the state are even more humbling when you're on 2 wheels.

Where in OK are you? I have actually considered there as well, in the Ouchita Mtns. I love the Beaver Bend Lake area.

Agree. I've been to 40 of the 50 states. Colorado is one of the most overrated states, second only to California.
