I burned everything. There was some incriminating stuff in those early letters, like the letter from my aunt in 1958. She wrote "We will have a gay time when I see everyone next weekend." I was too young at the time to know what that meant. My mother simply told me it meant everyone will be happy. Many years later I found out what that word really meant. Now I understand.
