Anonymous Coward User ID: 78256331 United States 01/10/2021 02:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | do i write the numbers on toilet paper and shove them up my ass for posterity? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1350463 wtf do i do with them? In windows, you would go in to the IPv4 properties of your eithernet or wireless adapter, and specify the addresses you want to use as primary and secondary DNS server addresses. You would then try entering a desired url and see if it does, if it doesn't, you would try others in the list. In this scenario however, there would be no point in trying the Google DNS servers. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79466699 United States 01/10/2021 11:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | holy shiet cloudflare owns 1.1.1.1 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79466699 that is one fucking OG IPAddress google owns 8.8.8.8 infinit.infiniti.infiniti.infiniti Yea I knew that, but they have owned that for a very long time. Cloudflare purchased 1.1.1.1 in 2018. Now again it was a small company that owned 1.1.1.1 since the beginning of the internet like google, but think of how much 1.1.1.1 has to be worth in 2018. If cloudflare has that type of purchasing power its hard to believe they are good guys... Usually right wing tards are drawn to enemies for communications... Examples: Twitter, Facebook, Google, Firefox, Youtube etc. Makes me really wonder about the small startup cloudflare once was that mainly focused on web security. |

Quoting: horus666 I hope if you're here you know what it is, but basically, it's like an internet phone book - with a name like www.google.com, it tells your web browser what actual internet address it should get that page from. For more info about DNS, you can check: [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] Why a list? Most of us use what our internet service provider (e.g. Comcast or AT&T) provides. But what if those are censored or go down? It's good to keep a list. Here is a list I have compiled: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 2620:0:ccc::2 2620:0:ccd::2 Comcast 75.75.75.75 75.75.76.76 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 2001:4860:4860::8888 2001:4860:4860::8844 CloudFlare 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 2606:4700:4700::1111 2606:4700:4700::1001 Free & Public DNS Servers Provider Primary DNS Server Secondary DNS Server Level31 209.244.0.3 209.244.0.4 Verisign2 64.6.64.6 64.6.65.6 Quad94 9.9.9.9 149.112.112.112 DNS.WATCH5 84.200.69.80 84.200.70.40 Comodo Secure DNS 8.26.56.26 8.20.247.20 OpenDNS Home6 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 Norton ConnectSafe7 199.85.126.10 199.85.127.10 GreenTeamDNS8 81.218.119.11 209.88.198.133 SafeDNS9 195.46.39.39 195.46.39.40 OpenNIC10 69.195.152.204 23.94.60.240 SmartViper 208.76.50.50 208.76.51.51 Dyn 216.146.35.35 216.146.36.36 FreeDNS11 37.235.1.174 37.235.1.177 Alternate DNS12 198.101.242.72 23.253.163.53 Yandex.DNS13 77.88.8.8 77.88.8.1 UncensoredDNS14 91.239.100.100 89.233.43.71 Hurricane Electric15 74.82.42.42 puntCAT16 109.69.8.51 Neustar17 156.154.70.1 156.154.71.1 Cloudfare18 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 Fourth Estate19 45.77.165.194 (Miami) 45.32.36.36 (Tokyo) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hopefully you'll find it useful, and save a copy of this on your computer.
