There is a real value to the community for permitting AC posts. I think the worst AC ban was during pizzagate. The vast majority of info exposing it came from ACs. I was annoyed, but can appreciate why it had to be done for a few days when I saw the pro pedo comments that could have gotten the site shut down had the mods not gone on a cleaning spree. The real danger to free speech comes from paid shills. At this moment in time when the government is actively targeting the conservative community, the last thing we need are paid agitators looking to derail threads and create flame wars that put patriots and defenders of freedom in a bad light.

Asking people to register for a free account is not censorship. Go to tutamail.com, get a free anonymous email and set up a free anonymous GLP account.

I posted as an AC for 20 years. Most are grateful for info and appreciate the ability to post as an AC. This is just a suggestion for a temporary requirement to make it a little more difficult for the paid trolls to disrupt threads. I set up my account when ACs were temporarily banned from viewing GLP. No one is suggesting this extreme action, just asking someone to put minimal effort into setting up an account for 2 weeks if they want to be part of the conversation.

This is the only forum that allows AC posts. Certain agitators are abusing it.

There is wide latitude in what is allowed on this site, so censorship is not an issue. We don't want trolls getting GLP labeled as a hate site. When an AC posts that women are sluts and whores who should be raped with a butcher knife, they give credence to the leftist position that conservatives are misogynistic terrorists who need to he stifled. Deleting posts like that isn't censorship.

ACs can report abusive posts, too. One if the biggest issues is use of the n word. Trolls do it do they can screenshot the post as proof for the alphabet agencies and their MSM lackeys that conservatives are white supremacists. If you haven't been a member long enough to know the history of GLP, then you don't have perspective. This wasn't a Trump only site until the past five years. It was far more interesting 10-15 years ago. Censorship is what many of us came here to avoid.
