Why do the Generals need Trump to give the Go ahead to stop a Communist takeover?

Weren't they trained to do that? If a Russian or Chinese bomber approaches, do they call the president to know what to do? Well, Donald may be having a shrinking balls condition, but what is their problem?
Aren't there even one or two Generals with enough courage to stop the enemy from taking control of our country? They need to just say Fuck Trump and do their jobs. Haven't they already been discussing what they should do? Sit on their fucking hands? Trump has been giving them shiny new airplanes and new tanks and been throwing money at them. Where is the gratitude? No wonder we haven't won any wars recently.
