900/1000 and stearling silver can’t be used by the tech industry before passing a refinery. In case of a huge silver demand the price of “junk” silver will be lowered in relation to how long the queue time is to the refineries which can be a quite significant.

It is therefore always better to hold 999/1000 silver for financial reasons.
