If you are a liberal, that is your right. If you use political power to silence conservative that is not your right, and it is a violation of mine. They are succeeding in silencing us by restricting us on what is getting to be on a level with Nazi Germany. If we let them, we lose and they win. |

States are limited when they intrude into the area of the federal government to rule. Usually via the interstate commerce powers of the federal government, which states do NOT have. The President is limited (or can be) by Congress. ALL of them are limited by the Constitution. Sometimes an emergency situation does arise, which seems to expand governmental powers, but emergencies do NOT create any new power(s). Rather, in some emergencies governments can go to the extreme length of their EXISTING powers, which they may not in normal situations. The Constitutional limits are usually defined under DUE PROCESS, which can be procedural or sunstantive, and PROPERTY rights, such as a business, a profession and to just make a living, as well as more physical property. The extreme limits as to property is that sometimes there can be a governmental "Taking" of them or it, but there still must be fair compensation given. Eminent Domain is an example. |
