In order to be a patriot, you should be smart enough to distance yourself from politics and politicians alike because they are all crooked and will not work for your best interests.

Why is it young people don't understand the process of debate and discussion anymore? It is the proper decorum that whoever introduced a topic, to create an assertion or thesis, then with logic and evidence, prove their own assertion. The burden of proof is on the OP.

In such a discussion all parties have a shared understanding of a concept so that all understand what is being discussed. That is labeled a frame of reference. In the present example, it the OP who defines patriot and what it means and entails.

Having done so, then others take issue with your definitions and actions and agree or disagree. To have a debate and discussion one has to agree with the thesis or assertion, disagree, claim that no determination can be made, or have no opinion.

You need to accomplish all those things or this is just a free-for-all.

Both parties are so severely compromised, corrupt and out to screw US citizens for their own personal benefit (greed, power and wealth). The ones that have been in there the longest are pure CCP insurgent traitorous sociopaths. (Feinstein, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Mitch McConnel, etc.)

Both parties should both be dissolved. Candidates should have background checks made public prior to running for office and it would be best if all their names went onto a list to randomly be selected with term limits. It was never meant for the position of Congressmen be a career path. The President's time in office is limited and so should be Congress.

New parties should be erected based on being in alignment with the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Possible names: The Federalists, Patriots, Constitutionalists, etc.

Labels are a moving target and are mostly meaningless.

If a definition is needed, at this moment a patriot is someone who stands up against a repressive government. "Love of country" is a nice way to paraphrase it.

It all depends on your stand on the US Constitution. Democraps want to rescind the Bill of Rights, starting with banning Free Speech and move on to no right for firearms.

A Patriot holds the US Constitution in the very highest regard, just the way it is. A Communist does not. A Communist might "LOVE" his country, but despises the Constitution and wants to destroy it. ie. a traitor.

The basis of the dialectic is that the truth can be determined by debate and dialogue. That may or may not be so as everybody may be a moron. The entire group may be an echo chamber so no true dialectic can exist. Is everyone honest? Do the parties want the truth to be discovered?

What about bias? Would a person in 1940s Russia say the same answer as an American in the same time period or even today?
