I do worry about Jan 6, though, you know Geo Washington got his troops into a long miserable winter at Valley Forge with little clothing and scant food. One of my ancestors was there. Another was on the front line in the Militia in Canajoharie, Tryon County, NY and soon got into an ambush called the Battle of Oriskany, from which he was captured and held prisoner for many years in Canada. The American Revolution went on from when the Militia was first formed in 1775 until 1784. Then the British attacked again in 1812.

The people were mad over the taxes they were being forced to pay that crippled them so bad they had trouble with maintaining and feeding a family.

The NY militia fought with muskets, swords, bayonets, pitchforks, haying tools, knives, or whatever they could make work. A lot of the battles were in their back yard, they were fighting for their families and homes.

Read up on the American Revolution, and other later attacks made by others against America. This may be the land of the free and the brave, but we ourselves have always been called upon to make it so. We have always needed good leaders. And I think you know what happened to the traitors, their lands were confiscated and they were not allowed to remain.
