Over the last few years my hospital has mandated the flu shot for staff, and pushed it hard. Staff were immediately fired for trying to refuse it or trying to get a religious exception. We had to sign a paper agreeing, or lose our jobs.
They also had staff out in public at large events giving it in parking lots to anyone who wanted it. That alone has been Orwellian in appearance to me. $300 dollars for a vile of insulin needed to keep you alive, but here is your FREE flu shot that doesn't work for all strains, but you MUST have it.
I also noticed that my hospital IS NOT doing a comprehensive respiratory viral panel on incoming patients who have "covid" symptoms. They are only testing for covid. They are not doing the full panel to test for flu strains, rhinovirus, etc. We all know the COVID PCR test is bunk.
Were these mandated flu shots in years past contributing factors to what we are seeing now?
I got floated to the covid unit the other night. The patients had bad colds on top of a million other medical problems. The only one dropping her oxygen sats without her nasal cannula on was 102 years old and had COPD and lung cancer. They were easier than my usual patients in renal med-surg.
My tik tok video making ICU colleagues are like "OMG it is horrible, everyone is dying of covid, blah blah blah". It is like they have never seen a bad flu season before, or thought about it alongside the lack of bed and staff which is due to cuts that have been happening for awhile, alongside what those mandated flu shots could have caused...... Now combine that information.
I have suspected the flu vax for awhile, but I want to hear your thoughts. I think it created a bad flu season with a strain we are not testing for. I do not believe there is a pandemic. I think my colleagues are filtering what they are seeing in real life via media propaganda and a lack of analytical thought.
They are all running out to get the vaccine, and posting facebook photos about how great they are for getting it with captions such as "I believe in science" and "I am doing my part to fight covid". They are virtue signalling their "I got my shot" stickers. I cannot stand it, but I have to keep my mouth shut and unload on here.
