Urbexing is a shortened form and vowel of "Urban Exploration". It is the act of going to and exploring places that are not normally visited or often even accessible to the general public. Such places might include (but not be limited to) abandoned factories, abandoned or derelict buildings, remote wooded areas and the like. Urbexing is for the outdoors types and is like hiking with a kick :)

Many youtube videos exist of people urbexing in some fascinating places, due to the first-person camera perspective it almost feels like you're exploring with them

Respect for the property is a must, no graffiti or vandalism, in fact if one does this, picking up and dumping litter so you leave the area better than when you found it, is best. It's lots of fun especially considering the history of some of these abandoned places although there is some risk involved as you may run into squatters or drifters, or the buildings may be in severe disrepair.

Recently while out hiking locally i found a wooded area at a street intersection that opened up to a path and apparently some people have set up camp there. I took this footage (this is not private property)

The above video is considered tame- check out other YT footage of urbex'ers and some of the wild stuff they've found:

Yes, into ghost hunting too. Urbex and ghost hunting go well together since the most paranormally active places are typically old, abandoned buildings. MI here :)
