Cell phone issues Louisiana
I have a phone with Verizon, which rents towers from ATT. I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I just got an all circuits are busy message while trying to make a call.

This is a message that occurs when phone calls are overwhelming capacity. This usually will happen during major disasters- hurricanes, tornadoes, and such- in the area, it occurred.-- If you are calling into that area, or within that area attempting a call.

I was told the other day by a former Verizon coworker that some areas are having issues. I know our towers are ATT in some parts of my city, but the switch it goes through is local.

With that said, I should not be getting this message. I would think that people calling relatives in Tennessee should have died down, especially since most people use social media or text now.

I know the "spyware" was interrupted along with other systems, but I thought cellular service was okay.

Anyone having issues? If so where are you?

Hey Metry. Internet just went down too. They are adding fios to our neighborhood and finally updating old wire from the 1970's that Southwestern Bell put in our neighborhood.

I do know that in this area Verizon uses ATT towers to boost their service. A lot of the build for this area, was for Primeco years ago, and they just "borrowed" service to expand coverage on the cheap. I left Verizon years ago, so I am not certain any additional towers have been added..

Interesting. Good to know, maybe it's just Verizon being crappy. Let's hope it's nothing else.

I have no desire to go to DC and put myself into a throng of angry people. Not happening. You go ahead, though, and be careful.

If you want a GLP-Louisiana sort of meet-up, maybe we could arrange something on Mardi Gras Day in the French Quarter. At least that throng of people will be happy and celebrating life itself.
