It is tragic that Gerard Butler has been tasked with such crap scripts. He was thoroughly entertaining in the very silly time travel film Timeline. 300 is crazy nonsense, but wildly entertaining.

Coriolanus is a fine Shakespearean adaptation that works as a military film, but few have seen it. Give it a chance.

The guy gets just awful scripts yet makes them profitable.

Coriolanus trailer

People hear Shakespeare and immediately say, "No way". That is a mistake. This is a good film. I suggest you turn captions on though.

Coriolanus has a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes meaning it has huge broadbased appeal when people actually elect to see it.

Apparently the human race will start over in a new Eden, a place untouched by evil white men. The new people will be a mix of black and white. Good bye Orientals, you are no more. LOL

Probably will be banned in China.

You notice on the movie that all the white men went to sacrifice and the new world had only a black man and a white woman.

Yes, and all black men in sci fi are hyper intelligent scientists in positions of authority now (The Martian, 2012, Prometheus, etc.) Whites are either evil, incompetent, or outright bumbling idiots.

Turned it off after the inevitable race mixing romance scene.

2 black astronauts. Not a single asain, Indian or Mexican, but 2 blacks.

Really weird music that didn't match the scenes.

This is just like Tenet and Hollyweird promoting the idea that it is acceptable for white cucks to die so the Afrcan American hypermale gets the white girl.

It is sickening as a woman is such a relationship has 700% more of an incidence rate of domestic violence.

It began with demeaning White men in commercials. You canfind that in youtube. At first you think, "What is this"? Then realize a hideous pattern of reverse discrimination.

And think about the stupidity of going back and dying when by necessity if they csare the last humans, then at the bare minimum at least one other guy has to go as if her husband dies, humanity is screwed. They would have to at least artificially inseminate to create as many children as possible to give humanity a chance.

I watched it yesterday and its not that bad but we have seen better ones.
Clooney promotes the known script that politicians and hollywood want to push down our throats.

(dont read down if you want to watch it)

The "event" happened but we dont know what it was. It was an envirenmental catastroph.
We caused it.
People live underground but will probably not survive.
The only survivors is a mixed couple of astronauts, the man is black and the woman is white and pregnant (by him).
This couple will revive the human race.

They will live on a moon of Jupiter that can hold life.

Woke extreme leftist logic
White Men are evil and are horrible enslavers as an orchestrated patriarchy. Thus it is perfectly acceptable to outrageously mock and provoke them as they made so many suffer. By systematically repressing white males and some white females, especially Christians, then civilization will have balance.

In other words, the same fucking Demoncrat morons who gave us the Ku Klux Klan now want to put White Americans into ghettos as they did on the Watchman tv series.

No shit. They think that is enlightened.

Just a Happy version of the 1959 Scif-Fi movie, " On the beach. They even show a scene from it in the movie. Same premise, Nuclear war with radiation clouds commencing to encircle the Earth and end all surface life. Now the guy is drinking whisky and pain pills which appear to cause him to hallucinate some annoying kid. Best part of the movie is its unhappy but happy ending. I like a movie that you cant predict how the good guys will get out safe.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79474083

Ha, funny I came to the exact same conclusion, did you even catch the scene from On The Beach that one of the crew members was watching on Video W/Gregory Peck? I think they were giving a wink out.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78471573

Gregory peck’s grandson played young Clooney in the flashbacks.
 Quoting: Spiff

Interesting that Gregory Pecks grandson (never seen him before), played young Clooney and the Sci-Fi Movie playing in background "On The Beach" was an homage to that very film. Movie also shows that you can go thru life committed to your work, job or cause and not really know your own life, wife/girlfriend/child and how they can have such an affect on the world...Movie was so seriously unrealistic with message driven drivel...upcoming spoiler!! If anything, the last 10 minutes was the entire movie, but failed to make up for the 1:45 of White Out with shades of color blinked in (K-23 Images and Space-ship) His one purpose and drive while trying to stay alive was to maintain the success of the mission and the safety of his daughter's (and her family) new future that waits ahead on K-23. He knew the whole time that it was his daughter on that exploratory mission.

I watch extreme leftist excrement so you don't have to. It is a miserable job, but as most people just get disgusted and quit in 20 minutes, then the only way people know how bad it truly is, is towatch the entire thing.

That is like The Stand. As weak as the original one was, it was 100x better. They turned it into woke nonsense.

Last Man on Earth (1964)
This has no copyright as they messed up when they filed the paperwork. Vincent Price plays the last survivor of a plague which reduces everyone else to blood thirsty drooling crazies.

Every night he has to tolerate them banging to get in, and every day, he finds dead ones and dutifully buries them. It is a cheerless task, but he has not lost his humanity.

It is worth watching and way than I thought it would be. He is resigned to his fate.

That was based on the Matheson story and later became Omega Man with Charlton Heston and then I Am Legend.

Threads (1984) is a very good well done GRIM BBC nuclear war drama and has to be seen. It shows abject misery by the survivors.

Stake Land (2010) has an outbreak of vampirism that destroys the entire world and begins in the Middle East. The soldiers get called back, it falls apart, and most barely make it. It becomes about a personal journey as a few people band together and die as they are taken. The sequel was rushed and ain't great.

Blindness (2008)
This is very grim as a single Japanese American man goes blind but sees all white instead of black, then his eye doctor gets the same issue, then a their who stole the original man's car gets it, and it spreads everywhere.

Only one lady can see, but lies so she can be with her husband. The infectedget put in. FEMA Camps and neglected and it becomes anarchy in there with rapes and murder.

They bust out and make their way in the city, then that group shares the physician and his wife's home.

It has very rough scenes in it, shockingly so, but they are realistic. It should be watched if you can get past about 15 minutes of that.

It is as good as Children of Men.

I am so sorry I watched it, just premiered on Netflix.

It's like Gravity, only even more depressing and more self-important.

Not one likeable character. Horrible soundtrack for maximum gloom--too slow single cello or piano in creepy minor chords.

No beauty because presumably all green stuff and animals are dead.

You can't breathe the air--"Or you will die if you remove your mask!!"

Clooney directs and stars and wants us maybe to all die in our masks. What a dick.
 Quoting: humbird

I saw it a few days ago. Didn't like it. Thought the script was disjointed and confusing. The movie was also boring because it was so slow moving.

Bokeh (2017)

Here is a post-apocalyptic experimental film not seen by many, yet it is good. An American couple are vacationing in Iceland, maybe married and on their honeymoon. They go to sleep and when they wake, nobody is in the city. They are puzzled, and they realize everyone has vanish inexplicably.

So then they go forage and get what they need. This kind of post-apocalyptic subgenre is called the "czy catastrophe".

The guy manages fine, but his girlfriendor wife flips out as she can't dontact her family. They are stuck and alone. She goes looking for people and gets desperate.

The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961)

This is a low budget UK film in which two nuclear bomb tests held simultaneously in the USSR and the USA end up tearing a rent in the Earth. It's a forgotten gem with the very lovely Janet Munro.

The Survivalist (2015)
This is an exceptionally well done UK post-apocalyptic film where people try to live in tiny groups, but others rob from them. A guy is horribly lonely but making it and presumably a older mother and her adult daughter show up with seeds that probably don't work as for some unknown reason, food is very difficult to grow.
