I don't trust what Wikileaks puts out now. I don't believe it is run by Assange anymore.

This release could be an attempt at discrediting Julian Assange.

what an amazing feat in the 60's

3 astronauts killed, 3 astronauts narrowly survive without being able to land, first LM nearly runs out of fuel due to switching the landing spot to avoid boulders, have to fix a circuit breaker with a pen, later mission has a short in the abort switch requiring them to reprogram the AGC on the fly, etc etc, but sure "no incidents."

The earth is 4 times larger that the earth. It must have looked massive in the sky. And without atmospheric distortions.

The moon is a disk-orb made of plasma. It is impossible to land on it as if it is a rocky surface.

They did. 4 times 0.5 degrees is 2 degrees. That's about two thirds of the length of the Andromeda galaxy in our sky along its long axis. Not as massive as you want to portray.

No, it should have taken up about 2 degrees of the field of view in the sky compared to the 1/2 of a degree that the Moon does. Do the math with the lenses used and you'll find the Earth is the correct size.

As I wrote in my EDIT, I was not able to find proof which made me change the title and point out there are valid disputes of this material. If I was certain this was fake I would never have posted it in the first place.

I'm leaning towards that this is a shady video, but just my opinion. It is still interesting though. At first glance it looked kind of legit even though poorly made, but having researched around it and watching it again I am very hesitant.

I'm a bit surprised this thread pops up still, but also glad we still have an open discussion since the subject as a whole really isn't solid in either way. Some broadcasts from NASA the last ten years really raised valid doubts of what is going on. At least enough to raise fair questions.
