Why are they so evasive about giving a simple yes or no to a basic question about whether she's alive or not?

I could understand if a stranger called in inquiring about her bank account, status of home mortgage or whether she was single or married. But a question about whether she is alive or dead?

I'd think if she were totally well, alive and breathing, people around her, if anything, would be joking and teasing her about rumors of her death. An attitude that would be evident in the way they'd respond to questions about whether she's 6 feet under or not.

PCR positiv test does not mean you are infected (especially at 45 cycles) and without symptoms you can not transmit a disease (low viral load).
