We've been hearing that we needed to prep and get ready to assist local officials from multiple unrelated sources, which is usually enough to raise an eyebrow and keep it in mind. I can't recall another time when they shut down because of snow but that doesn't mean they haven't and it is coming up on Christmas. Better to be safe than sorry and have stuff on hand just in case if you're able is the best I can say. We have moved things into position around the country for a reason. I worked in DC in my younger years. They would call an Admin day for snowfall but normally it would have been done the night before - since the snow was yesterday - not in the morning after everyone arrived at work in the “already fallen” snow. Did he call it last night? If he did it this morning, something might be up..... A lot of the workers are already working from home too...... Covid. OneNewsJunky |

(at least) We seem to be getting the winter storm of the century. I have four foot high stakes with red tops marking my driveway for the Man that plows it in the winder. ONLY the red tops of the stakes are still showing above the snow "before plowing". And i am not sure his pickup plow can move that kind of snow. Also my car which is a large hummer is totally buried. As snow came off the side of the house and covered it and the area between it and the house. Thank God.... I am a prepper who though not Mormon learned from them about food storage etc. And have maintained one for years. Actually you save a lot of money buying things on sale and just going to the basement when ya need a can of peas etc. But now i am drifting like the snow out side. So will close. |
