Well...this 2020-weary mama is officially in tears. GLP has worked some Christmas miracles. Thank you all. I’m touched beyond words.

Latest Update:

Another 4 requests filled. We are now at around 125 requests filled, including 11 Amazon orders. Still waiting for three email replies on Amazon requests:

Kenny B. (general request)
Bright Side (request for skateboard kid and another kid)
Christy P. (request about Lego and paintball)

If you read this, please check your emails, so we can see what still can be done. I know that Amazon delivery times will also get extended in the coming days. Maybe we can still do something, but we need to act fast.

All in all still room for one or two moar. And then we really need to close this GiveAway. It truly has been a blast, thanks to all of you. As exhausting as it was, it also gave tremendous energy. What a blessing to do this.

For who likes numbers, I just checked and besides all the posts here, there were:

- about 250 exchanges in email
- 115 PayPal transactions
- 11 Amazon orders, split across several sub orders.

All in all, from the funds alone, brought together through so many beautiful souls, with:

- an average of $50 per request
- we sent out close to $6,500 on PayPal
- we sent out close to $ 900 in gifts on Amazon

to those who could use it most. And that is even excluding all the beautiful gestures that the Angel Elves in this thread made directly to people in need.

- All of the above has been done in around 62 hours.

I would say that is quite an achievement and deserves a big APPLAUSE to everyone involved, in whatever form you contributed. It shows that when push comes to shove, even on a quite 'energetic' forum like GLP we as a community can get together to spread some hope, encouragement and light in darker times. And that to me has always been the ultimate goal of this Christmas GiveAway.

And even though we are really close to the GiveAway ending, it doesn't mean this thread has to end. So feel free to continue posting and continue to create and keep the Christmas spirit going.

And we also will see about some last minute requests, till we are really done.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone involved. What you all did is so amazing! Special thanks to Nola, I appreciate you ! And another special thanks to Mezzo for all the hard work and many many hours you have put into this, as well as the funds you contributed. You’ve been at it for days! What a hero! You all helped so many people, and it’s so beautiful and really makes me feel the Christmas spirit that I thought I had lost. Just reading this thread has brought tears to my eyes so many times. Just wanted to say thanks again and Merry Christmas to Mezzo and his team. You guys are amazing!

I would like to buy some old times board games for my kids. They are very active, I am glad they don't adore computer games like others. They remind me my own childhood! Maybe because I love playing with them? Who knows who is more lucky, me or them :)

Hi Angel! You have to be angel doing charity for people who needs it the most! I am one of them, lost my job 2 months ago in the sector of construction. All savings are smaller and smaller. Currently I am doing every temp job I can. I have wife, we don't have kids yet. Small donation would allow us to breath a little more this month. When I read what you did to people tears are arriving. Why more people aren't like you? I don't mean giving only money to poor. When I read your posts it's like you don't even care for money - you care for people. And this is awesome! I'm not sure if I should even ask this favor, it seems so frivolous compared to all the trouble everyone has these days. I'm just going to put it out there and anyone that is so inclined, I would appreciate just a little prayer. I know this is kind of silly, sorry for that, but it's my worry.

I mailed my grandbabies their Christmas just before I found out about the post office backups. I would have kept them until it cleared if I'd have known how bad it really is. They are supposed to be delivered on Monday, but all I care is that they get them before Christmas or even just after. We haven't seen any of them for exactly a year and they're growing SO quickly.

It's funny, I mailed the clothes and winter gear out early and they have that. It's the fun stuff that might get held up. They're little enough that it's a big deal to them.

So, if y'all have a sec, send a kind thought or a little prayer. Please?
